Rachel-Claire Cockrell shared her Brick Wall Prayer in a daily GodTube devotional post and I thought, WOW! Am I willing to pray such a prayer so bold as this or do I want the desires of my heart more?
I do want God’s will in my life over my own wants and dreams. I know whenever I’m following in His footsteps then there is more harmony in my world. He truly knows better than I want I need and at the precise moment I need it.
Jeremiah 29:11 reminds me, not that I need reminding, that God has a plan for me and while I do not understand everything I place my full trust in Him (Proverbs 3:5-6) because I know all things are possible (Job 42:2) with the Lord and when the timing is right (Ecclesiastes 3:1-8), my prayers will be answered. If I’m patient to stay in God’s lane then he rewards me with happiness.
Today’s song found its way to my ear when I caught this verse…
My life I know it’s never really been mine
So do with it whatever You like
I don’t know what Your plan is
But I know it’s good, yeah
You’re the King of everything
The One who taught the wind to sing
The Source of the rhythm my heart keeps beating
You can give the blind their sight
And You can bring the dead to life
You can be the hope my soul’s been seekin’
I wanna tell You now that I believe it
I do, that You can make me new, oh
I’m an open book
Write Your story on my heart
Come on and make Your mark
Maker of the stars
Let me be Your work of art
Won’t You write Your story on my heart
Come on and write Your story, write Your story
Won’t You write Your story on my heart
So do with it whatever You like
I don’t know what Your plan is
But I know it’s good, yeah
I wanna tell You now that I believe in
In You, so do what You do, oh
I’m an open book
Write Your story on my heart
Come on and make Your mark
Let me be Your work of art
Won’t You write Your story on my heart
Come on and write Your story, write Your story won’t You write Your story on my heart
Go ahead and show this world
What You’ve done in me
And when the music fades
I want my life to say
Write Your story, write Your story
I’m an open book
Write Your story on my heart
Come on and make Your mark
Let me be Your work of art
Won’t You write Your story on my heart
Come on and write Your story, write Your story
Come on and write Your story, write Your story
Won’t You write Your story on my heart
