Thursday Art Date

Somebody’s Watching Me

Rain’s art prompt is “Being Watched”.  This is the creepy season so I couldn’t think of anything better other than being watched at night while doing something you know you shouldn’t because you just never know who’s watching you, an admire, a perv, or Jason!

I apologize for being short on time.  I managed to get my artwork and music selections taken care for today’s contribution, so I will leave it at that instead of feeling too pressed to fill in the other segments.  I need to tend to some things before we take our R&R break at the end of the month and I’m working diligently to get back into my daily exercise regime.

I’m thankful to have y’all for my friends.  If you’re looking for other Thursday blog hops, please visit any or all of my friends hosting these memes.

I’m winding things up with my TBT song pick, Rockwell “Somebody’s Watching Me”.  Next time on CAAC is Saturday Songsuasion.  If you’re around, come by for some music!  Now, I’m heading over to Rain’s Garden to browse the gallery of artistry.   Have a doodletastic day! X💋X💋, Cathy

    Hi, Cathy!

Happy Thankful Thursday Art Date With Rain, dear friend!

I always perk up when I know I am about to view your art renderings, and today’s composition did not disappoint. As I study the scene, I am reminded of the character Joe Goldberg/Will Bettelheim, the stalkerish, murderish main protagonist in the Netflix psycho thriller series You. There is at least one scene in which Joe/Will peeks over hedge and spies on his female neighbor as she sunbathes and swims in her pool. The impression I get from your art creation is that two young women are out late at night. One is daring, the other shy and reserved. The daring girl decides it’s a fine night to go skinny dipping in the pond. Her friend patiently waits and watches from the bank. Little do they know that a creepster is watching both of them, no doubt with evildoing on his mind.

I applaud you for setting aside time to ramp up your exercise routine. It becomes easier and easier to find excuses not to work out. Keep finding reasons to get it done. That old school cartoon reminds me of the ones in frames that lined the walls of the subterranean game room in my childhood home. My parents enjoyed hosting parties and having friends over for mewsic, dancing and laughs. (I suppose I am a chip off the old block in that regard.) Ribald cartoons like the one you posted were a common sight back then, and I never heard anyone complain that they were indecent or objectified women.

As you might expect, that Rockwell video was a popular play on MTV and on the station where I worked in the 80s.

Thanks for the art, mewsic and giggles, dear friend Cathy. Have a happy and Thankful Thursday and I’ll see you here on Saturday!
