The whole reason I’m sharing this with you today is I used it in Brushstrokes. I’ll get to that in a minute. This is Nubble Light in Maine from last year’s vacation. We’re on Long Sand Beach Ave heading north east. I zoomed in using my iPhone. It’s not sharp. I guess that has something to do with digital zoom. It almost looks like a painting, right? Before I show you the Brushstrokes creation, this will give you an idea how far away I am from the lighthouse.
Nubble looks very small, doesn’t it? This is a fabulous place to experience the waves crashing up close. You can see that the side walk is wet in front of the car. I captured the zoomed photo further up the road a bit while the car was in motion which may partly account for it not being super sharp. Now for the Brushstrokes version.
I’m not so quick to delete my imperfect shots. There’s always value in photos that aren’t picture perfect, if nothing else it’s a memory that’ll bring me joy every time I see it. Thanks for dropping by y’all. Have a wonderful day!

Lighthouses are captivating!
I didn’t notice any blurriness in the original photo, but probably more obvious in a larger size. Your Brushstrokes image made it pop.

If you don’t expand the file you don’t notice the feathery pixels. That’s just the down side of using digital zoom. If I had my big girl camera with 300mm lens then and if I took the picture outside the car, then this picture would look better. I really need to pull my camera out to play with it. I’ve fallen into a lax state relying solely on my iPhone. It’s such an easy thing to do. Thanks for dropping by!
