Nothing Left

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  This week, we’re dancing to whatever music moves you!

My song (and artist) share is one I stumbled across while looking for a replacement video after the one I saved got yanked from YT. Allow me to introduce to you the American rock band called Secondhand Serenade with their 2014 release, Nothing Left.

What music moves you?

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

To access the party, add your music post below, and visit others on the dance floor. Let the party begin!

I borrowed Friday’s Friendly Fill-ins to share with you. Here’s how I filled in this week’s statements.

1. I want to try to lose 5 pounds this monthThis is a reasonable, achievable goal if I can minimize unnecessary snacking which is a goal killer!

2. Dealing with multiple customer service representatives in one phone call should be an Olympic sport.  I hate that most companies now outsource this sort of work to people in other countries. Although the people are nice, it’s really difficult to understand what they are saying half of the time and I have little confidence that they understand my issue leaving me frequently frustrated when I get off the phone.

3. I’m grateful that I was close to my grandparents, aunts, and uncles while I was growing up.

4. Curious as a Cathy deserves to be more popular. My mind went blank on this one, so I just decided to be my silly self. I know you wouldn’t have expected anything less, right?

For anyone interested, I published my first BOTB of the month this past Thursday. Have a boogietastic week!

    1. Ughh..ok..love the song. It was quite good and love your painting..so soft and dream like.
I have worked in an industry where I have to speak to banks and many other companies and, I know what you mean. They can talk fast and their tone is at a stage where it’s hard for me to understand. There were a couple of times where I apologized but had to hang up because I just did not understand them at all. I’d like to see ballroom dancing at the Olympics…if they can put breakdancing in, they could do this. I love your last answer:)

  1. The song is new to me and I agree with, John, they have beautiful harmony. I agree with you #2. I dread having to deal with customer service! Ugh! Have a great week ahead, Cathy. 💕

  2. Excellent post. Yes, I struggle with weight issues because I am basically a grazer and that is never good news.
Like you, I have issues dealing with some accents and hearing aids don’t help the matter. The latest in TV streaming options is the worst when customer service is limited to screen prompts from an app on my computer.
I am ever grateful that we live in the same town as the grandkids and got to see them grow up and become wonderful young adults.
You music choice is beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us.

    1. My weight issues aren’t a huge problem but it’s easy to get out of hand if left unchecked. That’s what really concerns me. People who are bigger than me think, you don’t need to loose any weigh but when you’re 5’2″ a few pounds too heavy looks like a lot and what does that mean internally? Is it sitting me for health problems? I don’t want to find out, so I fight to keep myself in a normal range but even in a normal range I prefer to stay on the lighter side of the spectrum. I weight slightly less than 120. My goal is to get back to 105-110. My clothes will not only fit better but my body will thank me. 🙂

I don’t have hearing aids yet but I’m seriously considering it. I have some concerns I want to address when I see my ENT next before making any decisions on this matter. TV streaming can be a headache at times. That’s awesome your family has remained close to y’all for a tighter knit relationship!

  3. I couldn’t like either but your post was great as ever, love your painting and your fill in answers. I liked the music too 💜💜

    1. I’m sorry you couldn’t find the “like” button. It’s showing now. I worked on my site which messed this up. Thanks for dropping by!

  4. Off to see what a BOTB is? Nice post with the recognition of the close family growing up. Sweet. Not heard that song – will give it a listen (need to wait for the house to wake up! It’s early morning here….)

  5. This song /band is new to me. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I wish I only had 5 pounds to lose. I am with you on #2. XO

  6. I couldn’t find a “like” icon (it kept saying “loading”) so here is a comment. Group was new to me, some nice easy listening. But your website doesn’t seem to be working right for me today in Firefox; for example your social media links are sentences “click to share on (name of site) then it says “opens in new window”. I hope it’s just me! Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Thanks for the heads up, Alana. I did some fiddling around yesterday with my site and I didn’t think to see if it screwed something up. I think it’s okay now. Desktop browsers seems to work alright but my phone seems to display things wrong. I’ll get it figured out. Thanks again!
