Random Tuesday Thoughts

Goodbyes

How will I remember my birthday this year for many years to come? I will tell you… the day the world went a little crazy in the Newton, Connecticut community!

The massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary weights heavy on every person’s heart this morning. It stunned me to learn this news and surprisingly I’ve realized over the years there is slime on this earth waiting to perpetrate these sorts of violent acts against all people even children. My heart grieves for the parents who lost their babies, for the wives or husbands who lost their spouses, and for the children who lost a parent in this nonsensical madness.
Everyone is screaming, “This doesn’t make sense!” In a twisted kind of way, be thankful it is because this means you are not only healthy mentally but your God-given conscience would never allow you to slump into such darkness to commit such a heinous deed.

The media will for days and weeks and months make the “gun” the source of evil. Let me just say, there is nothing evil about a gun. Make no mistake, it is this person who murdered these innocent lives who is evil and not the gun.

You can choice to like or dislike guns or even own one or not. That’s your prerogative. However, when liberal people try to strip my Second Amendment rights then…well let’s just leave it at that. I’m sure you get my point.
To all those personally affected by the shooting, I am sorry for what you’re going through. I am simply at a loss.  There are no words I can utter to match the sadness I feel for these families and greater still the sorrow they carry. All I can do is offer my prayers. Hopefully, my prayers and the prayers of many thousand others will lift those of you during this difficult journey forced on people in Newton, CT.

I want to thank you for praying for my grandma. Last Tuesday night, she went home to be with the Lord and Grandpa. She had another stroke the Saturday before and being a Diabetic (along with many other health problems) her body began shutting down. My heart aches over Grandma’s passing, but I know our loss is heaven’s gain. I’m filled with the comfort in knowing Grandma now has a new body and mind. Who am I to deny such a loving, generous person her spot in paradise?  In the Arms of an Angel lifted from this life into the next. Goodbye Grandma, I will miss and love you always!

In honor of Grandma here’s a playlist consisted of angel songs just to remind me that Grandma now has wings to fly free of earthly pain.

Why not join me as I visit these lovelies….
