Thank you for joining me for another edition of Pencil Sketch Inspired Procreate Recreation Art Series Part 2. For those not familiar with what I’m doing, I’m picking up from last year’s A to Z Challenge theme using this time slot to showcase artwork I would’ve shared in April had I participated in the annual event.
I’m using a pencil sketch that I once shared with the Scribble Picnic art community in 2018.
One day while on Facebook an art video on how to paint a scene captured my imagination. It’s so cool to see how some people can squirt globs of paint in several places on a canvas then with various brushes and other tools to create a beautiful landscape. Digital art is different but I’d tried to tap into that feeling.
Click on the slide show to see various renditions starting with my Procreate illustration.
The thing with art is to just enjoy the process and learn. I’m doing plenty of learning!

This is a fabulous post. I love your art. Sorry I have not been around. My foot surgery just didn’t go well. I am trying to get back to blogging. Have a lovely weekend and I look forward to more art.
I love forests 😀
I love your sketches, Cathy, in all their unique versions, but the procreate one is the most striking. You are a wonderful artist!
That turned out beautiful, Cathy. You are very talented.
That came out great. XO
That’s a very nice forest, a good place to relax!
I enjoy seeing your artwork, and all the different ways you change it.
Well, I guess there are many that don’t care for me anymore. They use to when I was on before then had surgeries so my leave of absence was to long I guess and then computer probs… or maybe it’s just me they don’t like… 🙁 I don’t get anyone over by me well, there’s a couple, but when I say couple it’s like 3 and if I”m lucky maybe 4… I feel neglected. I make everyone on our list on Monday’s, but Wednesday’s I try to make everyone on Dave’s list or Sandy’s. I dunno… I’m doing something wrong I guess… Maybe if I change my deodorant!!!!! bwahahahahaha LOVE YOU MY SOUTHERN SISTA!!! YOU ARE THE BEST MY LOVE… HOPE ALL IS WELL IN YOUR NECK OF THE WORDS! How’s that baby doing? I bet it’s growing super fast isn’t it??? I know my great-grandson was barely in one arm when I seen him last and now HOLY COW he’s grown and walkin’! He’s got 2 sisters, so I think he just learns from them… one is in Kindergarden the other is I think 3 or 4… they grow like weeds I swear… the oldest one is in school already… SHEESH! Somebody’s getting old here AND IT AIN’T ME!!!! hahahah Love Always my Southern Sista!!! HUGS!!
HI Marie 👋 You are probably getting less visitors because people are confused about which site you’re using. When I click on your name above, it takes me here:
https://xmasdollyisback.com/2023/07/03/mondays-music-moves-me-30/
That is a WordPress address. Aren’t you back on Blogger now? You need to change that link to the right one, so people will know where to visit you. 🙂
It’s interesting to see how the different painting programs colorize the original drawing.
A great forest you created. I love your pencil sketch…moody. the fairy music is very calming but….I’m at work and I fell asleep! Oops😆
You’re so talented. I didn’t get a creative gene one. Not fair. Beautiful, Cathy.
Thank you for joining the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.
