Dream On – Aerosmith
Okay…it’s plainly clear, I’m watching this season of American Idol. I love it that they have Steve Tyler as one of the judges. He is such a colorful dude. He really brings a lot of personality and character to the show. Sure, I miss Simon – the judge you loved to hate! No one is as mean as Simon ever was on the show, even Randy spits out an unkind remark it’s still not as nasty as Simon’s. But, I do like Steve and yes, I even like some of Aerosmith’s songs. Did you see that one coming?

I LOVE aerosmith and Steve and I have not watched American Idol for years but think I have. started again just because of him!!! He is not great to look at but have always really liked him period.

@Caren…It all depends on who you ask. My kids think I’m Methuselahn. Okay…not THAT old, but for some crazy reason they’ve always thought I’m older than their daddy and he’s two years older than me. LOL Get this, he’s the most serious acting of the two of us, too. I’m really silly with my kids and they still think I’m old. Maybe they are just trying to get under my skin. What do you think?

@Donnie…Aerosmith is classic rock n’ roll, rising in popularity before this lost generation was even conceived, but now are like, “Wow, man – cool!”
@Caren, I do agree, Idol is missing Simon’s edge. But, I think there is hope with Steve & JLo getting on board as judges. We’ll see. BTW, you are not allowed to reference yourself as ‘old’ on my blog, k? Because this may infer I’m ‘old’, too. =D Baby, I’m fighting age every step of the way. Remember, you’re only as old as you tell yourself. For instance, my mind keeps insisting I’m 18, I kid you not. True, my body has another opinion about how old I am, and well…we won’t even ask my mirror. I found it lies.
@Sherri…what? You’ve never watched Idol before now! The first season, my daughters were smitten with the show. There were little dreamy eyed teens. I can remember days like that. I only watched Idol passively. At some point, I began watching it with more interest, except last year, which I did not tune into at all. One thing I’ve noticed during the auditions, there aren’t nearly as many horrible singers being aired for the public’s humor. That was always so much fun. Inside, we’re getting big whine babies who slug the camera or walk out on the judges. It makes me wonder if were ever put in ‘time-out’ or have their backside paddled. This is such spoiled, rude, and intolerable behavior. What a shame!

I have always loved Aerosmith (Aerosmith’s songs were a huge part of my college life in the 70s! Yeah…I am OLD!)
I am not overly enthused with him on Idol….sometimes I like him, sometimes I don’t….I HUGELY miss Simon……the show is now lacking a much needed “edge”
