It’s Monday again, but don’t let that small fact bum you out too badly. Instead, let’s make the most of the moment over a cup of coffee with a little randomizing on Monday Morning Musings!
Can you believe, I still have our Christmas tree up? It’s true. This time, I can honestly say I am not procrastinating. Last week’s cold snap left me totally non-motivational to put the tree away. The reason is I would have to enter a room that we closed off so to not compromise the rest of the house’s warmth. I kid you not THAT room was a frigid 30-something degrees!
That being said, today is the day I plan to dismantle the Christmas tree. I am not sure why I should go through the trouble of taking it down considering there are only 347 days till Christmas. Oh yeah…I know why I should. Dah, I don’t want to be lazy about it AND I want to get back to a sort of post-holiday normalcy routine again.
I am so ready to kick up my exercise regimen again and melt those Christmas goody pound pounds away pronto. Next holiday season, I am going to be more diligent in my effort to NOT eat too many sweets. I did better this year than in past years, but still it wasn’t good enough to suit me.
Who’s watching the playoffs? This weekend two of my teams won – the Patriots and the Broncos. Next Sunday, they’ll go head-to-head. I like both quarterbacks, but since Peyton went to UT then I will be rooting the Broncos on to victory. Everyone loves Peyton, have you noticed? I mean, the camera is always on him when the Broncos are playing, plus he’s in a few commercials. That guy sure has the endorsements behind him. What I like about Peyton is, he doesn’t seem to let his fame go to his head.
Feel free to join my NO-RULE Monday Morning Musings linky party below.
And, I invite you to follow me in my morning blog hops with my first stop for Monday Listicles. This week’s prompt Stasha says, “Let’s go wild, freestyle with any 10 things on our list.”
10 Random Things I plan to do…
- Take Christmas tree down. You probably saw that one coming, eh?
- Kick start my NY resolutions diet beginning this morning! I’m a bit slow, but better later than never, right? *wink*
- Maintain a daily 1000-1200 caloric intake. Sounds simple, but if you’ve done any calorie counting then you know it adds up quickly. Every calorie counts when you begin limiting yourself.
- Start regular daily exercise routine again today! The hardest part of anything new is getting started. I’ve read that the first three days of a routine is the most difficult, and then after that, it becomes easier.
- Strip our bedding & wash everything! This is such a big job (an all-day affair) during the winter months with all the extra blankets.
- Figure out birthday & special occasion cards to hand-stamp for this year starting with DD#2 upcoming anniversary. Gotta get on the ball fast!
- To figure out a way to combine some of my daily hops. At least for a short while. Part of my NY resolutions is to get fit, but to do this means lots and lots of exercising. I can’t be in front of my computer all day if I hope to meet my goals. *sigh*
- To discover new music that uplifts, gets me going, inspires me to enjoy the day that’s given to me.
- Get creative a bit each day in various ways – organize a room, start a journal, draw a picture, cook something new, …
- Every day cherish every second I have with my most wonderful darling husband. Life is just too short.
Each week, Heather, puts on loan FOUR QUESTIONS for anyone to borrow and answer for your blog post, and then she give you the option to add a fifth question of your own for those who are visiting your blog to answer in the comment section, along with commenting on the four questions you answered. Don’t forget to grab the MQAM badge for your blog or post or both from Acting Balanced blog!
- It’s International Skeptics day – what are you skeptical about? Skeptical always about politicians. If they say they are out to help you, then expect what they really mean is “What can I do take away a person’s personal liberties?”
-
Wednesday is National Hat Day – what is your favorite hat? Do you wear hats often? I am not much of a hat wearer, but if I am to pick a favorite one then I would have to say a baseball cap. Does this mean I am a redneck? lol
-
What one movie or two would you say should be on everyone’s must see list? I think It’s a Wonderful Life and Gone with the Wind are two classics everyone should see at least once in his/her life.
-
If they were going to make a reality show about your life what would it be called? Lost in Space.
