I’m gonna round things out today by revealing the winner of last week’s BoTB between two different ‘Summer Breeze’ songs. It appears I’m on a strike with some tight showdowns. This one was no exception. Piper, not to be confused with Billy Squire’s band, squeezed ahead of Deep Chills by a slim margin on Wednesday but then on Thursday two new votes dropped in the ballot box in favor of Deep Chills narrowly giving the band the win 8 to 7. My ole my, how the tides changed in this battle.  It looks like the majority in this battle round is hooked on Phoniks. Nah, I didn’t come up with that, I have Myke to thank for that clever word phrase. lol

Congrats to DEEP CHILLS! I hope you enjoy another mewsic sample, Day At The Park!

You know what, I could’ve used BoTB contender Piper in my 4M playlist had I known they are a Japaneses band. It’s not too late to spin another tune on the table table. Listen to their recent release of Hot Sand!

I appreciate everyone who participated in mid-month battle and I’d like to point out that Stephen has a complete list of possible BoTBers with result posts.  If you’d like to read about Piper (formed by singer/guitarist, Keisuke Yamamoto), then you can do so in this article. I want to bring it to your attention with Independence Day near the beginning of the month, I decided to hold off until and do my next BoTB on July 15th, so mark your calendar.  I’m taking things slow and easy this summer. That’s a wrap for today. Have a boogietastic week! X💋X💋, Cathy

[WildWednesday 06/24/20] A view heading from Newfound Gap toward Clingmans Dome in the Smoky’s. In November 2015 I shared a similar photo. This is taken from the same trip. I recreated the image by using my Brushstrokes app. I love the painting-like effect this software produces.

    1. Alana,

I thought the same thing about ‘Baker Street’. It was a joy to hear again but what’s really interesting is this week while listening to SiriusXM, ‘Baker Street’ played. lol

  1. So, I think this is the right place to put my comment… GREAT JOB CAT!!! Luvin’ your tunes for sure! Great job everywhere! Goodness you sure take on a lot girlfriend. You need to slow down I think. Anyway, I’m finally finished. WHEW! I got doctor tests this Thursday & Friday so I won’t be around. I have to take a Cardio stress test on Thursday & that will take up most of the day & Friday is a Bone Density Test. ICK! Oh, and next week Tuesday is my CT Scan… so we’ll see what happens after that. Luv ya girl! HUGS & BE HEALTHY, SAFE & most of all stay home whenever you can. HUGS

    1. Marie,

Thank you, thank you, my dear! I do need to slow down but if I do I’m afraid I won’t get revved up again. 🙂 WOW, you have the appointments coming up. If you need me, I’m right here. Speaking of doctor appointments, I have two on Monday but they are in the afternoon so I will get some boogieing done before I have to scoot out the door. 🙂 Let me know how your tests go. I’ll keep you in my prayers, darlin’! Thanks for sharing a dance with me. Hugs

  2. Most of these are new to me, I will check them out. Have a great week. XO

  3. CAThy ~

A one-vote margin of victory in BOTB — they can’t possibly get any better’n that! That is precisely the sort of outcome I am shooting for every time I post a Battle.

Speaking of that… my next BOTB installment will be July 1st. I hope you can swing by with two cents for the kitty. And I look forward to your next exciting squeaker on July 15th.

STMcC Presents BATTLE OF THE BANDS

    1. Stepehen,

Thanks for checking out my mid-month BoTB stats. Either I’m on a streak or have finally got it together or maybe a little of both. Whatever the reason, I’m happy that my pair ups are more evenly matched. This might change in the next round. I’ll certainly try my best to hit everyone’s battle on the first, including yours ole pal. I’ll be slow at it but that’s my plan anyhow unless something keeps me from it.

    1. Thanks for hopping over to enjoy the tunes. There’s no better way to start you day than with mewsic. Keep the groove movin’ you, stay safe, and be healthy, my dear!

    1. Brian,

‘Silly Love Song’ is one of those tunes that’ll get stuck in your head long after you hear it. I hope it doesn’t drive you too crazy.

  4. MOL…Grandpaw is a marshmellow…MOL😸Great world mewsic, CK, we didn’t know the songs of Italy and France, but liked them too. And that hot sand must be in my litter…🙊…eh…I mean that I like it of course 😉 Pawkisses for a wonderful week ahead and we hope you had a wonderful Marshmellow Day😹🐾😽💞
ps the picture is so awwwww💗

    1. Binky,

Just don’t try to put Grandpaw between two graham crackers and a piece of Hershey’s chocolate now. 😀 Seriously, there’s nothing wrong with Grandpaw being a marshmallow. That’s the best kind of marshmallow! I’m a funny person. I don’t like the cold and I don’t like the hot. Our in-between weather is a hit or miss thingy and with our spring being so weird we couldn’t get outdoors to enjoy the mild conditions. We’re still not outside much but when we are it’s now heat, humidity, and mosquitoes. Three things I do not like about summer. sigh Oh well…at the rate of our days slipping by it’ll be Christmas tomorrow anyhow, so I won’t complain and stay indoors with the AC running. Thanks for stopping by to boogie with me, furriend!

  5. I like both the songs you picked from Deep Chills and Piper today! Must check out more…

The playlist for M^4 was good, too! I was familiar with the first three, but not with the last two.

  6. Awww that kitty and his human friend are adorable for sure.

Love all the videos as always.

Thank you for joining the Awww Mondays Blog Hop.

Have a fabulous Awww Monday and week. Love and hugs. ♥

    1. Sandee,

Thanks for stopping by to get your morning aerobic exercise hitting the dance floor, my dear. Have awwwesome week! 😉

    1. Robin,

Paul McCartney is amazing! I loved ‘Silly Love Song’ when it came out and still do. Some don’t like it but the tune is catching and it’s kinda sweet. 🙂

    1. Tom,

‘Baker Street’ is a great classic. One that needs to be listened to ever little bit. Thanks for joining us on the dance floor this week, my friend!

  7. Aww Monday….kids and their pets can produce some of the most moving images in all of photography. There is an innocence in both the child and the pet that comes shining through.

I think Paul was everyone’s favorite Beatle. Ringo enjoyed a huge fan following, but Paul was the most outgoing and perhaps the most talented musician of the group. People can get a little silly when they are in love and I am sure that more than one songwriter has written a love song with silly lyrics. They just always become classic pop songs. Ahhh…..Baker Street! Love that sound. Thanks for sharing your music with us today. Have a blessed week.

    1. Driller,

I agree children and pets are fabulous photo subjects. Their sweetness illuminates a picture. I’m not sure which of the Beatles I considered my favorite. I liked both Paul and Ringo but I think you’re right most people favored Paul more. When I came across ‘Baker Street’ for my pick, I had an ahhh moment, too. It had been too long since I heard it last so it was a treat to hear again. 🙂

  8. Hi, Cathy!

Happy Awww-some 4M Monday and BOTB final tally day, dear friend!

I hope DH had a wonderful Father’s Day. I’m sure you treated him to some of your homemade goodies.

I had a groovy time listening to your set of songs from artists around the world. It has been a few years since I watched a video by The Corrs. Those Irish sisters are sensational! The numbers from Italy and France were also new to my eyes and ears and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

I applaud you for staging yet another squeaker of a band battle this time. I don’t know who they are, but those latecomers to the ballot box always seem to be the deciding votes in the contest or the ones who bring it close to a tie by swinging the vote away from my pick. 🙂 Thanks for linking to more info on the Japanese band Piper. I enjoyed their “Hot Sand.” I look forward to your next BOTB coming in mid July.

Your Brushstrokes app certainly did make your picture pf Clingmans Dome look like an oil painting. It’s a beautiful scene!

I hope you are enjoying your laid back, slower paced blogging respite. Have a great week, dear friend Cathy!

    1. Tom,

DH had a nice Father’s Day and weekend. I fixed his favorite dessert, as well as a nice dinner – crab rolls, coleslaw, and oven-fried potatoes. 🙂 I’m happy to know that you enjoyed my 4M playlist of mewsic from around the world. My BoTBs of late have been not only tight but often taking an unexpected change at the last minute. I appreciate your lovely thoughts on my Burshstrokes creation. The day I snapped the photo was so beautiful and to see a breath-taking view as this left me wanting to savor the moment. I took the same image to create a scripture scene using Psalms 104:32. I wish I had included but forgot. I’ll try to do it another time. Thanks for visiting and I hope your Father’s Day was a nice one, my friend.
