Artwork on Display Off-prompt with TAD and FFO

I’m off prompt again this week. Instead of not participating in TAD, I’m sharing artwork that’s been waiting for an opportunity to be shared.  In 2023, I sketched a country farmland scene with a barn, some cows, and an old tractor.  The big knobby wheels would’ve worked a couple of weeks ago for Rain’s prompt. In the slide gallery is the original Procreate drawing and two other reimagined designs that I altered using two different apps.

I like something about each of these – the clarity of the first, the soft brushstrokes on the second, and the third preserves the sharpness while offering a vintage feel to the scene.  Do you have a preference?

For my 8th edition of FFO, I’m sharing a sketch I started more than a year ago and am just now finishing it.  It’s not complicated, I was just dragging my feet. I did the same thing with my Procreate illustration as with the other, I used the apps Brushstrokes and Distressed FX

I find it hard to not play around with my artwork like this and I do the same with my photos.  I guess, it’s a bit of an addiction for me.  There’s worse things I can be addicted to, so I’ll just have fun with it will appeals to me.

DH found a recipe that he wanted me to try which I gladly did for a Lemon Chiffon Cake.  My first try was good.  I made a few minor adjustments while in process as well to the recipe for future use.  Below,  you’ll find mine. I do give credit to the original site I found it on.

I placed my Thursday blog connections in my side menu and if you’re looking for new communities to join then I hope you’ll consider visiting my friends.  That’s it for now.  I’ll be back next with Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays.  Until then, have a doodletastic day!

  1. Lemon chiffon cake. It’s been ages since I have baked a cake from scratch. No, actually, it was in October of last year but it’s only one cake per year. I’m getting lazy! I hope your leftover cake freezes well. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. Write when you can, enjoy the process. I understand life keeps everyone busy. I’m the world’s worse when it comes to answering letters so you there’s never any worries here. 😉

  2. I always enjoy seeing your fun art! Boy, that cake sure sounds good to me!

    1. Thanks Christine! The cake is good. Did you notice that I said is? That means we still have some of it left. 🙂 I’m really surprised that we do but after DH ate half of the cake in two days, he asked that I put the rest in the freezer to thwart temptations.
