A Winter Surprise

A little promise of spring to come waiting for me as I returned to the house from the mailbox one day. I didn’t plant this patch of snow crocus. I guess I was gifted this winter surprise.

I go in for another root canal later today provided the infection is cleared up.  Wish me luck and say a few prayers!  I’ll be back tomorrow with my newest edition of TAD.  I’m gonna leave you with a Ray Stevens novelty song that I stumbled on.  It made me smile and I’m sure it’ll do the same to you.   Y’all have a wonderful day! 😘

I suspect a critter transplant the snow crocus to ours, probably while hiding his winter stash. 🙂 However they came to be here, I’m happy for their arrival. It makes for a happy surprise!

I hope you sail through your root canal today. Prayers.

Thanks for the prayers, Sandee! Everything went beautifully. The procedure wasn’t painful and much easier than last fall. I guess location of the tooth is better and the doctor was drilling through my natural tooth instead of the material my bridge is made from which is super strong stuff.

How lovely to see spring flowers already! 🙂 Oh yikes! Root canals are NOT fun and I hope all goes well, Cathy. 🤞🍀 Haha – Ray Stevens’ song is timely, given Taylor Swift’s headline domination these days.

Root canals aren’t fun but honestly it’s a whole easier now than it was 40 years ago when I had my first one which was very uncomfortable. I love that numbing meds are more powerful now. I couldn’t feel anything, other than a tiny prick followed with a small amount of burn by the medication which was totally tolerable. I love Ray Stevens and thought it was super fun the way he rolled Taylor’s song titles into his little ditty. Personally, I think she’s a bit over-rated and I’m tired of hearing about her. She’s talented but there are very few of her songs that I can honestly say that I like a lot. “Shake It Off” is probably my favorite because it’s just so fun.

I’m glad it all went well. 🙂 Good to see Ray Stevens is still recording at his age! Gives the rest of us hope. 😀 Yeah, I’m sick of hearing about Taylor Swift too and her songs don’t appeal to me much, either. I am impressed by the level of her talent, though, and remember her first hit, when she was only 17. It’s actually pretty good:

Hoping for a pain free root canal for you. Surprise crocuses – maybe planted by a squirrel? And that song was so cute, especially the way he incorporated a number of her song titles into his lyrics. At 85, Stevens is still going strong. Alana ramblinwitham

We do have squirrels, along with an assortment of other critters roaming our yard at odd hours. The squirrels are probably the guilty party but I place no blame on those little bushy tailed creatures but like to say thank you for planting them there for me. Ray Stevens looks frail but he doesn’t act it. He works well, speaks, and sings well. I hope we get the chance to go to one of his shows in Nashville. That would be awesome!

Ouch, sorry to read of your dental problems! DH has had a number of extractions and implants over the past decade. That’s really hard on the body. I hope you’re doing okay with it. As for me I’m bouncing back. Thanks for your well wishes and positive vibe, my dear!
