Hello! How are things with you this morning? If you’re visiting via the A to Z Challenge, then you’ll find my entry here. The days in this new month are flying right out the window, are they not?
This month’s special co-host has made this request for today’s theme. They say April showers bring May flowers, so make it rain people! Be creative about where your source of moisture comes from. It’s time to spin some tunes with Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me!
Over the past few years I use themes to discover new music and by doing so I in turn share my finds with you. I built a playlist consisting of mostly modern songs with a couple of oldies tack to the list.
April showers tracks: 1. Why Does It Always Rain On Me? by Travis 2. Raining in My Heart by Buddy Holly 3. Tears In The Rain by Triumph 4. Rain Down Tears (1959) Hank Ballard & the Midnighters 5. Showers of Blessings by Chelsea Fontenel

This is a mewsic linky party. Every other week we have a suggested mewsic theme (see side menu) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our mewsic enthusiasts. Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.
Thanks for sharing this dance with me. Remember, tomorrow I’ll be back playing along with the A2Z community and you’re invited to check out my newest Looney Tunes artwork. Have a boogietastic week! X💋X💋, Cathy

Love the kitty, Cathy! I’m not familiar with the songs, but nice video! Keep on keepin’ on! 🥳
Sometimes the rain is a bit hard, but the rainbow after is that much sweeter.
We had some serious rain over the weekend but it’s all cleared up now.

Marie,
Thanks for dancing with eith
Marie,
Thanks for dancing with me. I haven’t made all my visits yet. I got sidelined trying to catch up a little. I’m doing the A2Z this month and am very slammed. Anyway I sent you a couple of emails earlier , But it appears what happened is when you created today’s post you used the previous 4M post published. So the comments connected with that post still stays behind. The reason I’m thinking this is the date reads March something and this is April. I hope that helps!! You have too much on your plate and small things such as this can be an oversight. I’m so glad you’re back for the party!
This morning in L.A. it looks like it could rain, but it’s just overcast. As much as we can always use the rain it rarely does. Rain would be nice.

Hi, Cathy!
Happy Pawww-some 4M Monday, dear friend! I hope you and DH had a nice weekend.
That kitty looks mighty fashionable in his/her yellow raincoat, and he/she seems to be checking out the sky for signs of precip. Here in Central Florida, the lawns and gardens were suffering lately from from lack of rain. That problem was temporarily alleviated yesterday by strong storms and hours of rain that left puddles all over our property. There were some gusty winds but no damage, so all’s well. We’re happy and so are the veggies and herbs in our garden.
I enjoyed the set of songs on your April Showers playlist. The Scottish band Travis is new to me. My eyes popped when lead zinger Fran Healy jumped from a cliff into a body of water far below. When I did some reading on the side, I learned that clever editing was used in the video and it was actually a stunt man who makes that daring leap into the water at an abandoned mining quarry known to locals as “Gold Diggings” in Craddock Moor on the edge of Bodmin Moor, Cornwall. I best remember Buddy Holly for his up tempo rock & roll songs, and I thank you for reminding me that he was also quite a balladeer. It’s been a long time since I heard “Raining in My Heart” which charted in 1959 as the B side of a single containing another ballad “It Doesn’t Matter Anymore.” I well remember the Canadian hard rock band Triumph because we played their music videos on the MTV station where I worked. I remember and like “Tears In The Rain,” a single from the band’s 1986 album The Sport of Kings. The song made a run at the top 20 on the Mainstream Rock chart. The bluesy R&B number “Rain Down Tears” is so obscure that even Shady Del Knight never heard of it. 🙂 I see that Hank Ballard & the Midnighters released the song in June, 1959, as the flip side of “Sugaree.” Little did the group know that they had already recorded and released the previous year what was soon to become one of the most famous songs in music history, one that ignited a worldwide dance craze – “The Twist” – but it was Chubby Checker who scored a huge hit with the song and launched a long and successful career. Thanks for the introduction to Swiss tennis player and singer Chelsea Fontenel. I like her brand of gospel soul.
Thanks for the torrent of tunetastic tunes, dear friend Cathy. See you soon over on your A to Z post!
