50 Q&A, Part 5 of 5

Posted on August 26, 2011

This completes the 50 Q&A I began in July .  I have been a bit slow in getting these sometimes tough questions answered,  but I’m happy despite my delays in sharing my answers.  Did this help you to connect with me a little closer? I learned a little about myself in the process to my surprise.  Would this interest you to share with your readers?

If you missed reading the answers to my first four parts of this series, then you’re welcome to catch up on your reading below!

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

41. If you knew that everyone you know was going to die tomorrow, who would you visit today? I would be sure to visit family and friends who I felt certain hadn’t had a spiritual rebirth with Christ.  I know all those I love who are Christians, I’ll see them again in heaven.  It’s those I love who have not surrendered their hearts to Jesus I’d be the most concerned about.

42. Would you be willing to reduce your life expectancy by 10 years to become extremely attractive or famous? Are you kiddin’? No way!  Fame doesn’t appeal to me and to be extremely good-looking while it has its perks it’s not worth shortening my life. Grant it, I don’t wanna look like a dog (I’m confident I don’t fall in this category), but to be drop dead gorgeous where men fall at my feet. Nah! I’m totally comfortable with who I am. Take me or leave me, as I am. It’s your choice!

43. What is the difference between being alive and truly living? We all are alive, but to say you’re truly living would mean you’re seizing life’s experiences with a lot of gusto.  Truly living means, you enjoy smelling the roses along the way.  This brings to mind of my husband’s co-worker. His young son has this rare disease Severe Combined Immune Deficiency Syndrome (SCID).  You may not know this by its scientific name, but do you remember the movie, The Boy in the Plastic Bubble?  If so, then this is what he has.  Thankfully, medical technology has advanced such that this boy hasn’t had to be confined to a germ-free environment, but has had to receive monthly infusions so he can have the freedom to be a part of the world.  Unfortunately, this disease is gobbling him up. He’s in his mid-teens and his days are seeming more numbered than ever before.  The point I’m getting at is despite if we know it or not, we all should do more of this, instead of going through the motions.  I know I’m so guilty of this.

44. When is it time to stop calculating risk and rewards, and just go ahead and do what you know is right? Doing what’s right, I hope is something I do always regardless of the risks or rewards.  I’d like to think it’s sort of intuitive and I automatically do it, but I’m certain I haven’t met every circumstance yet which may cause me to question this. Interesting question!

45. If we learn from our mistakes, why are we always so afraid to make a mistake? I believe it’s because we like living in our comfort zone best and are afraid to step outside it, but if you recall teenagers…young adults are usually ones to learn the most from mistakes instead of listening to those who have walked before them willing to share painful experiences in hope to spare them of the same mistakes.  Somehow, it just never happens they still learn from mistakes and as we grow older we become less likely to want to risk making similar mistakes because we’ve learned our lessons from similar circumstances.

46. What would you do differently if you knew nobody would judge you? I stand in judgment to myself. Therefore, I don’t believe I would do anything different.  We need to hold ourselves accountable regardless if someone else is looking or not.

47. When was the last time you noticed the sound of your own breathing? Usually, I notice my breathing in the stillness of the night.  Often times my breathing gives secrets away about myself I don’t even realize until my husband points it out.  I breathe very heavy when I’m stressed or worried.

48. What do you love? Have any of your recent actions openly expressed this love? What or who?  I get crazy giddy when I’m around my husband. He’s the love of my life.  I’m so blessed.  I love life in general. Recently, I let out a deep breathy sigh signaling complete contentment.  Do you know what I mean? You know it’s like, “It’s great to be alive” kind of sensation.

49. In 5 years from now, will you remember what you did yesterday? What about the day before that? Or the day before that? If you’re asking me will I remember what happened yesterday, August 21, 2011, in 5-years chances are slim to none that I will remember what happened? However, if you wanna know if in 5-years I’ll know what happened on August 21, 2016, then hopefully I won’t have any problem knowing the events of the previous day or a couple of days earlier.

50. Decisions are being made right now. The question is: Are you making them for yourself, or are you letting others make them for you? Decision making is a joint effort between my husband and I on big things, but generally everyday things I make those decisions.

I want to invite you to visit Jacqueline Rizk.  It was from her blog, The Organic Blonde, I stumbled upon this series of 50 questions. She’s passionate about reviewing products which are safe and healthy for the body.

Doing this was interesting.  I love sharing myself.  I’d like to gather a series of 50 fresh questions to do this again.  Can you help me? Leave your questions in my comments that you would like to see answered. If I use them, then I’ll be sure to give credit in my post.

Have a good weekend!

4M Guidelines: Below are the 4M co-hostess. The rules are simple. Every other week, a suggested (not mandatory) theme is given to build your song picks. We're looking for embedded music to enjoy, one song or several. On the off weeks, we dance to whatever music moves you (your choice)! It's just that easy. Have fun and welcome to the party!
