Let me introduce you to Atlantica’s QUEEN – Athena!
In the first LM movie, we know that the Queen died when Ariel was a child. Long story short, pirates attack merpeople. Triton escapes with the younger daughters, but the oldest’s fin becomes entangled and Athena frees her but then tries to retrieve the mewsic box (a gift from the King) but is crushed to death by the pirate ship that sinks. This is the reason for Triton’s hatred of humans and ban against the human world.
Athena appeared in the Disney 2008 sequel, The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning. Of all of her daughters Ariel, Andrina, Arista, Aquata, Adella, Alana, & Attina, Athena resemblance is reflected most in Ariel with her stunning beauty and gorgeous auburn hair.
This illustration was drawn by sight only, no step-by-step directions or art video tutorials. I’m rather pleased with how Athena turned out. I can’t wait to colorize this sketch! 👏

2. I hope to purchase a new home this year. This has been a dream of mine for years. It took years to get DH to see the need but he finally came around and now he’s actively searching various online real estate apps for homes of interest.
I’m heading off to link up with other fellow AtoZers and you’re invited to come along. For my fellow A2Zers, please leave a breadcrumb (direct post URL) in comments so I might find my way easily to you.
