Good-morning, kittens & dawgs! This is my first edition of Cathy Chats since getting back to routine blogging life after a long summer (not really) break.
Today, I thought I’d pitch some movies to ya that DH and I have watched in recent months. You know, I’m the girl next door who likes to share. Grab your coffee, read the snippets, and if it sounds good then
Now You See Me (mystery/crime genre) Showed up as two movie bundle with Now You See Me 2 which we have yet to see on iTunes that we couldn’t pass. The first flick in the set was great fun starring Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Woody Harrelson, Mark Ruffalo, Isha Fisher, Dave Franco, & Mélanie Laurent. Four talented, not so well known magicians recruited to perform the greatest trick of their life…to rob a bank and get away with it. The ending I didn’t see coming!
Forget About It (YouTube full movie) We watched this comedy/action on Amazon Prime. The story surrounds three retirees (Burt Reynolds, Charlie Durning, and Robert Lugga) living a simple life in a trailer park hitting golf balls in the Arizona desert while competing for the attention of their hot neighbor, Rachel Welch until a former mobster, Peter Nitzi (Michael Saquella), in the Witness Protection program moves in. Oh yeah, did I mention Nitzi ripped off the mob? Guess where he hides the money and who do you think finds it? This is a hilarious farce worth seeing.
Kill Me Again (available on Amazon Prime) Val Kilmer plays a private eye in this crime drama hired to stage the death of a young woman (Joanne Whalley-Kilmer) on the run from the mob and a psycho boyfriend but the when she skips town without paying for his services and left taking the heat for her death, then he goes after her. Very good flick.
30 Days of Night (Netflix) Josh Hartnett plays a police officer in a small Alaskan town that plunges into a
Solace (Amazon Prime) FBI Special Agents, Joe Merriweather (Jeffry Dean Morgan) and Katherine Cowles’ (Abbie Cornish) are the lead investigators in a series of homicides. Merriweather enlists the help of a reluctant former co-worker, Dr. John Clancy (Anthony Hopkins) who possesses
Have you watched any of these movies on my list? Do you have any suggestions to add?

I cannot lie taradiddle
Makes me giggle
Imaginations spent lyrical
Seemly trivial
Tall tales
Fables swell
All these stories
