Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Good-evening, kittens & dawgs! This is the last week of the first month of 2016. *slap forehead* I can’t believe how fast the days evaporating, can you?

First up, I want to tell you about a cool giveaway going on, which is fixing to end on tomorrow, January 27th at 6pm UTC, for the BEST iPhone lenses in the world according to blogger pal, David Molnar. He sent me a referral link to share with my friends, here, and if you enter then I get a few extra entries.

You know the cold is keeping me indoors, but I’m trying to keep up my creative energies. I live therefore I must create. That being said, I’m reinventing archived images with various photo-editing techniques.

Bird Silhoutte

I snapped a picture of the sky with my iPhone Distressed FX App. I applied the Egart effect to the image background. The last two steps I used Pixelmator to add the silhouette (resource found on the internet) overlay and my copyright.

This week’s featured photographer is….

XOXO Rebecca

Congratulations, Rebecca! Go by to see what amazing pix she’s sharing today and I invite you to link your Wordless or (not-so-wordless) Wednesday post below to join the party. Also, it would be awesome, if you can show a little blog love by inviting your friends to join in on the fun! ?

Thanks for popping in and joining the Wordless or Not-so-Wordless Wednesday fun.

Have a fototastic day!

#ComeBackToBed #TrentTomlinson

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

I’m still on my country music roll, kittens and dawg. I just can’t seem to shake it, but the picks that stick in my head are the ones that really put a groove in my soul.

Let me say something, unless a country artist has a ginormous name in the industry then chances are very good I won’t recognize newer talent. It doesn’t always mean I haven’t heard their music. It’s just I never paid attention before now and since I’m listening to iTunes Country station A LOT lately, then I’m taking note of the songs/artists I like.

For the most this morning’s artist has more old country twang to suit my taste, but he has a single that plays often that I really enjoy and that’s the purpose behind Saturday Songsuasion to share the new-to-me with you. Why not give a listen to Trent Tomlinson 2014 release Come Back To Bed.

It’s a good beat I won’t buy an entire Trent Tomlinson album, but THIS song? Yep, it has that taste of country rock making it a winner with this gal! How about with you, is it a winner?

What songsuasion is moving you?

In keeping with last week’s selfie humor…

Oopsie, you know you’re gonna be dead!

What’s making you smile this morning?

Linking with Claudia on s-ART-urday

Linking with Claudia for #s-ART-urday with Project 10! My photo-art creation is a mesh up of three original photos and the use of a Creative Market Anton Wicked Watercolor Area3 brush which was offered as a freebie recently. The short poetry piece is an original work, too. My inspiration for the boats in the sky comes from a photo DH did years ago of a double exposure of boats in the sky and I believe he took a picture at the same spot or very close to where I capture my own image of the boats.

That’s a wrap for this week. I hope you enjoyed your visit and I appreciate you including me in your weekend. Feel free to invite your friends to stop in for a listen. It’s a great feeling to share! What’s next? How about a little Monday Mewzik & Mewzings

Have a songsational Saturday!

Revisiting Sky View Shots #WW @Purfylle

Puritan's Pride Vitamins

Hello, kittens & dawgs! It’s hump-day already. As the old saying goes, it’s all down here the rest of the way. I’m ready to slide right into Friday, aren’t  you?

This month I’m taking a look back on photos I posted or ran short on time to share. Regardless of which category my images fall under; new-to-you or not, I’m doing a Revisiting series and I hope you enjoy taking a peak. This morning, I’m Revisiting Sky View Shots.

Sunset across Fort Loudon Lake near west Knoxville

Sunset looking west across the Appalachian Mountains along the Blue Ridge Parkway

Fingers of God pushing through the fog at Mt. Mitchell State Park just off the Blue Ridge Parkway

Night sky over Knoxville, TN

I shared these sky view shots originally on the weekly meme Skywatch Friday. With cold cloudy weather lately, I need to feel the warmth from the memories these separate photo sessions left in my heart. Thanks for including me in your day.

Sending a round of applauds and cheers to this week’s featured photographer…

Congratulations, Stella! Please, show some blog love by visiting today’s featured photographer and leave a sweet comment.

Have a snaptastic day!

#SWF: Smoky Mountain Opry Pigeon Forge, TN

Hello, kittens & dawgs! How’s life treating you? All month, I have shared photos from my archives. The biggest reason is I haven’t been out snapping pictures like normally. I am immensely busy or so it seems and there’s a whole lot of other stuff preoccupying our energy.  I won’t bore you with that, though. Anywho, I’m happy you decided to stop by for a peak at this week’s Skywatch Friday contribution.

The communities of the GSM foothills really know how to liven things up for the Christmas holiday season. It looks great even during the day. On this Saturday, we were blessed with a gorgeous vivid blue sky and the air cool and crisp when I snapped this image last December. I’m never disappointed when we have a fun Christmas outing like this and I really could use another…now! This week has been chilly and gray with the promise of good weather returning on Saturday. Let’s hope for the best and maybe we’ll find time to escape with my camera in tow. How’s the sky over your head? That’s a wrap this time.  Until we meet on the other side of the lens next, have a foto-tastic day!

#SWF: Sinking sunset’s glow over Tennessee

In case you missed the news, I’m taking a wee break this month. I scheduled my photo posts ahead with the anticipation that you would stop by. Today’s Skywatch Friday contribution was taken in early spring while out shopping. From the Walmart parking lot in Farragut, I captured the sinking sunset’s glow over Tennessee just seconds before the veil of night dropped.

Let me say, Thank you for making me apart of your day and although, I’m unplugged I will return visits to anyone who leaves a comment.  Until we meet on the other side of the lens next, have a fototastic day!
