I came up with the idea for this new post series while sorting through old files stored on my external hard drives of old emails I collected. I neither wanted to keep or delete to keep them. I remembered how much fun it was to get daily nuggets of humor or inspiration from friends, so I decided to recirculate the email content and if you have an email subscription to CAAC then it’ll kind of be like sharing these things with you like in those bygone-days.
Today’s contribution had an issue when I tried opening it. At the time, I copied and pasted the contents but failed to note who sent it and and when I received it. Since I began this series, I used the last Friday of the month to share these old emails with you but this one needs to be shared early as it’s perfect for this time of the year.
Santa lives at the North Pole…
Jesus is everywhere.
Santa rides in a sleigh…
Jesus rides on the wind and walks on the water.
Santa comes but once a year.
Jesus is an ever present help.
Santa fills your stockings with goodies…
Jesus supplies all your needs.
Santa comes down your chimney uninvited…
Jesus stands at your door and knocks, and enters your heart.
You have to wait in line to see Santa…
Jesus is as close as the mention of His name.
Santa lets you sit on his lap…
Jesus lets you rest in His Arms.
Santa doesn’t know your name, all he can say is “Hi, little boy or girl, what’s your name?”…
Jesus knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our history and future, and He even knows our hearts and how many hairs are on our heads.
Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly…
JESUS has a heart full of love, grace, mercy and forgiveness.
All Santa can offer is HO HO HO…
JESUS says, “Cast your cares on me for I care for you.”
Santa may make you chuckle but…
JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.
While Santa puts gifts under your tree…
JESUS became our gift and died on the tree, for you and me.
It’s obvious there is really no comparison. We need to remember, WHO Christmas is all about. We need to put Christ back in Christmas. JESUS is still the reason for the season.
Yes, JESUS is better, He is even better than Santa Claus.
