I decided this morning to join Helen in Song Lyric Sunday. Today’s theme is ‘Search’.

Mike Pickering and Paul Heard wrote the multi-platinum hit for the UK band, M People from 1994 titled Search for the Hero. You can read the lyrics on Genius.  I’m only going to share the chorus since it speaks to me.

You’ve go to search for the hero inside yourself,
Search for the secrets you hide.
Search for the hero inside yourself
Until you find the key to your life.

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a songsational, blessed Sunday, my lovelies and I will see you first thing tomorrow morning on Mondays Music Moves Me!

X💋X💋, Cathy

  1. Hi Cathy. Thanks for the very warm welcome to the 4M co-hosting gang!
I enjoyed Pat Barrett’s “Sparrows and Lilies” very much. What a wonderful way to start my week!
And the M People’s song is new-to-me as well. I like the chorus lyrics you pointed out. I like all the lyrics to the song in fact. Very nice!

Looking forward to a fun month of co-hosting!
    Thanks again,

    Michele at Angels Bark

  2. Yay! So glad that you are joining us today! Something about your song for Song Lyric Sunday feels familiar, but I just can’t place it – familiar, yet foreign. Isn’t that odd?

Anyway, I also wanted to thank you for dropping the code for #4M early. You know me, always writing my posts early. This way I can add my code and wait for the post to drop at the appropriate time. I did notice when I entered my info on the linky that my info went into the second slot. So glad that you were able to move that to the correct placement. The month of October is a big one for me. Looking forward to it!

  3. Thanks for the extra effort over at Shady’s Place, Cathy. You are a great friend. I needed to delete my reply to you comment three times because I kept finding typos, so neither one of of us is having much luck today. I finally have my thoughts sorted out and my reply written, so please refresh your browser and come have a look at my reply on SPMM when you have time. 🙂

    1. Tom,

I’m happy to do it and so glad I got it figured out. Hey, I make all kinds of goofs usually, so don’t worry about yours. I did check your response yesterday but didn’t respond to this. lol

  4. Hi, Cathy!

I see you have comments enabled, and therefore I wanted to leave one. I enjoyed your 4M preview. I have followed Christian rock over the years, but the specific category CWM – Contemporary Worship Mewsic, songs of worship that sound like secular pop recordings, is new to me. I enjoyed “Sparrows And Lilies” by Pat Barrett, vocalist for the Atlanta based worship band Housefires. I also appreciated the soulful, inspirational sound of the British band M People doing their mid 90s hit single “Search for the Hero” which reached the top 10 on the charts in the UK and Scotland but was apparently unreleased in the U.S.

I look forward to your combined Monday Mewsic Moves Me and BOTB post, dear friend Cathy. Until then have a tunetastic Sunday!

    1. Tom,

Yes, I changed my mind this morning to enable commenting after I notice Mary’s Song Lyric Sunday post and with DH working today, then I decided to participate like any other day. By the way, I came by earlier this morning and checked out your post, which by the away is pAwesome, and I left a comment using a different browser. It wouldn’t let me sign in with Google and when I used the Name/URL option it never showed up. Can you check on this? I don’t know what’s going on. I can leave a comment on Firefox and I did so you to alert you but this is driving me a bit wonky. Maybe I need a plugin on Safari or Apple might me blocking something for me. I better check my settings. TTFN!
