WW: Ducks

I find myself pulling photos from my archives lately. I hope you don’t mind looking at these pictures…

Taking to water at Fort Loudon Lake in Farragut, TN is a Skywatch Friday contribution. (Nikon D7000 with attached Nikkor 18-105mm lens)

Like ducks in a row, these geese follow in single file across the water on Fort Loudon Lake in Farragut, TN (Nikon D7000 with attached Nikkor 18-105mm lens)

I took the above pictures in July not long after DH bought me my big girl camera.  We went back in November of that year but now the daylight hours shorter and I captured the resident ducks and geese once more.

The loner…to make this little guy standout, I applied “tilt shift” effect in Fotor. Nikon D7000 with attached Nikkor zoom lens (18mm-105mm)

Looking for a handout…In this image, the people dominated the picture. I applied the “tilt shift” effect in Fotor on the ducks making the people almost anonymous. Nikon D7000 with attached Nikkor zoom lens (18mm-105mm)

This is a pretty spot to take a walk, picnic, swim, feed the ducks, or photograph. Thank you for making me apart of your day. Please leave your comments footprints so that I know you came and I will hop over to your place soon. Next week, I will share some new photos.  Until then, have a fototastic week!

Sending a round of applauds and cheers to this week’s featured photographer…

  1. I like going back through my old pictures sometimes, I often find something I have forgotten about that is actually a good image

  2. I wonder who decides who is going to be the leading duck on the water, they always look so neat & tidy until someone lobs them some bread – lol! Lovely photos.

    1. I’m not sure how this is decided. Maybe, the one who wins at rocks, paper, scissors, or the one with the most gray feathers, or the biggest bully takes lead. Either way, it’s very interesting to see them fall in line like this.

  3. Thank you for featuring me. My cat thanks you too. Love how were you were able to change the focus in your last shot.

  4. It’s been non stop rain here lately, so I have not got outside with my big girl camera much either. I have depended on my iPhone much. And I didn’t have my laptop to edit the photos that were on my big girl camera! So mine is a bit of a hodge podge today too.
But I would never tire of looking at beautiful scenery and some ducks on the water!

    1. We had some heavy rain last week, and a little over the weekend. For the most part, it’s just hot & humid. I love the long days of summer, but I hate the extreme heat. THAT I can do without. I’m thinking cool thoughts…thoughts of a crisp fall breeze…or simply escaping to the mountains to avoid these awful temps!

  5. We were just near there. On this trek with Bill, we have been to and through TN several times. I love TN, as my roots are there.
