Winterlicious + Mid-December BOTB Results

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  Like last year, I added a Christmas inspired themes every other week for anyone needing ideas but you’re good if you want to boogie to your drum with whatever Christmas music moves you!

I’m not a huge fan of winter and it’s official now. We’re in that season.   I love the name of Debbie Gibson’s Christmas album, Winterlicious, though. Cozy up to your speakers this morning and hit play to enjoy the music!.

Remember music themes are only suggestions.  I don’t care one way or another.  The important thing is to share whatever music moves you. Now, it’s your turn!

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

Christmas 2023 Biltmore Estate Great Room

Let me end things with last week’s BOTB results. I knew from my vote would go to Kathy Mattea.  Eight others favored Kathy’s rendition as well which gave her the win in this battle.

This is how the votes stacked.

Kathy – Me, Mary, Eugie, Stephen, Judge Al, Brian, Lee, Ed.

Trisha – Debbie, Birgit, Mimi

So there you have it, the last BOTB outcome for 2024. Thanks to y’all for playing along and making it another fun year to participate in this fun bi-monthly meme.

Normally, I have posts set up in advance but looking toward the future, I don’t have my January 1st battle composed yet.  It’s been a rather hectic fall.  My plan is to do one so let’s keep our fingers and toes crossed that I can do it.

It’s hard to believe, but Christmas is only three days away, folks. Don’t stress it, pace yourself, and have a rockin’ around the Christmas tree good time! Save

  1. I don’t know how I managed to miss your battle, and I’m sorry I did. It doesn’t look like my vote would have changed things. Will be sure and participate next time. Merry Christmas!

    1. Don’t worry about it, John! I don’t normally do a mid-month battle, so I’m sure that caught everyone off guard. It’s easy for a battle to slip by. That’s happened to me a few times this year. Thanks for dropping by, my friend!

  2. It’s been cool out here in Los Angeles and yesterday (Sunday) I even turned on the heater for about an hour. But you guys really got some cold from what I see in the weather. Have a great Christmas!

Good outcome in your Battle. My results are up as well.

  3. Any Christmas with a Debbie Gibson song is a great. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.

  4. I believe we are still planning to visit The Biltmore next year for Christmas.
Yes, Kathy Matea’s arrangements of a couple of Christmas classics are still my favorites. The first time I heard “Mary Did You Know”, it was from the Good News album and it’s still my favorite recording of this song.
Merry Christmas to one and all. May the spirit that is Christmas live in the hearts of everyone you know.

  5. I wasn’t that familiar with Debbie Gibson, although I had heard of her. These may have been some of the first songs I’ve ever heard from her. She does have a nice voice and this Christmas album made for good background music. My favorites were God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and Cheers! Merry Christmas to you, Cathy.
