The end of the A2Z challenge is waning and I was wondering, why can’t we be friends?
“Why Can’t We Be Friends?” is a song by the band War. The song has a simple structure, with the phrase “Why can’t we be friends?” being sung four times after each two-line verse amounting to over forty times in under four minutes. It was played in space when NASA beamed it to the linking of Soviet cosmonauts and U.S. astronauts in 1975 for the Apollo–Soyuz Test Project. “Why Can’t We Be Friends?” charted at number six in 1975. I totally understand, dearie! I’m there right with you. Despite having most of my posts finished before the challenge began, I am now finding it difficult to do both ~ compose & visit. Oh well…all we can do is the best we can and enjoy the ride. I think everyone gets that this is one of the hard spots to manage. I’m hopeful that next year I’ll do a little better than this year at keeping up with everything.

I’m not sure what’s going on with you, but a true friend is one who’ll stick with you through the good, bad, and the ugly. Anything less than that and that person isn’t really a real friend, in my opinion. I hope whatever friendship issues you’re facing are resolved & a newer, stronger relationships are forged with your current friends or new ones!

War certainly has a lot of classic hits. It would have been interesting to see the PBS piece on War. I always think of white noise as background sounds to help someone sleep at night.

Yeah, I know you’re doing the challenge and I try to get over to visit when I can. I haven’t done my absolute best, though.
I’m sure I’ll have to play catch up with you and a few others. Maybe, next year I’ll have this down like science and do a better job.
I remember the album you have pictured except on mine the cover is in Spanish because I bought it in Mexico. The music is the same though.

This is a fun song. Didn’t War do “Lowrider”? I liked that one.
Yep, War did Low Rider and it’s a nice funky tune, but I always liked today’s feature song by them the best.
