What Makes Me Think of Christmas

Posted on December 1, 2024

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  I can’t believe it’s December already.  The year went by faster than I imagined and here it is the Christmas season again.  Like last year, I added a Christmas inspired themes every other week for anyone needing ideas but you’re good if you want to boogie to your own drum with whatever Christmas music moves you!

I’m going to use this week’s prompt, What makes you think of Christmas?  When I searched the Internet for possibilities, not that I didn’t already have a few in mind, I got Christmas tree, lights, snow, traditions, music, gift-giving, and worship. All of these things are nice but the last one worship one is what always comes to mind Christmas’ true meaning the birth of Jesus.

Remember music themes are only suggestions.  I don’t care one way or another.  The important thing is to share whatever music moves you. What makes you think of Christmas?  Now, it’s your turn!

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

This is a lovely time of celebration and goodwill, encompassing many different religions and beliefs. 🎄 Celtic Woman has a beautiful sound. 💖 “What Child Is This”, using the music from “Greensleeves” is a favourite. Merry Christmas to you and your family, Cathy!

You can’t go wrong with Celtic Women. Love the manger and the message you have chosen. Every heart has a hole that only the Savior can fill. Have a blessed week.

This was a delightful choice, yes, the season has a purpose and too many forget.

I was pleased to see two of my favorite carols in the selection (What Child is this and O Holy Night) and they did a great job on both of them (and also The First Noel). Alana ramblinwitham

So many things make me think of Christmas, most these days I notice lots of people being kind and that’s a nice change.
