Walking on Sunshine

Posted on March 9, 2015

Good-morning, kittens & dawgs! Did y’all remember to set your clocks forward? I celebrate the DST change. I love the extended sunlight with the passing of each day. It makes me feel like I’m Walking on Sunshine!

We all know sunlight is a positive mood booster. That’s a big perk in itself, but did you know that sunlight does these things for you?

  • builds the immune system
  • lowers cholesterol
  • lowers blood pressure
  • improves skin disorders, like psoriasis & acne
  • kills bad bacteria
  • increases oxygen in your blood

To reap the benefits of sunlight remember do so in moderation (study indicate 10-15 minutes of noontime sun rays are best because the waves are shorter and strike the body at irregular angles) and to use proper protection (SPF 30+).

What do you like most about DST? Other than the obvious extra daylight like I said earlier, I look forward to the over-all well being I sense with the change in time and season.

Thanks for sharing a dance with me. Let’s keep the party going, link up and join the fun at XmasDolly. I hope to see you tomorrow for Cathy Chats. Have a tunetastic week!

I think that is why we do feel much better in the daytime, than at night. Thanks for the information on the sun.

    Cool music too!

Hope your week is going great!

First of all… she could be my freaking twin, except my hair is longer in the front. Wow! I’ll have to show this to God-daughter. Dang! Too bad I only play air guitar – wonder if she needs a body double? Love the song – I remember another version, but don’t remember who did it.

What a fantastic song to start out our week/morning! It’s so up and sure made me feel wonderful even with my broken tooth! Yes, my darn tooth broke right in half last night, but thank the Lord it doesn’t hurt. Weird, but I’m getting it fixed at 1:30 today! Woo Hoo! So lucky I can get in with such short notice! Thanks for the uplift sure needed it today! You are definitely hugalicious! Have a great week and thanks for the boogie~~~

I love the sun when I’m going for walks in the late afternoons or spending time by the pool with my family in the Summer time. That’s one of my all-time favorite songs, by the way. Blessings!
