Wacky Wednesday

There’s nothing like having a little fun each day.  My daily thrill is to jump from blog to blog.  Perhaps, you’ve found me today through a common meme.  Whatever reason brought you here,  please feel free to stay awhile and get to know me personally.  Also, be a dear to leave a comment or to send me an invite to your blog.  I am always faithful to return the gesture.

Patrice’s questions this Wednesday, March 23rd are:

  1. Do you feel better in skirts or pants? It depends on the weather.  During the winter, you usually won’t catch me in anything other than pants, but as the warm weather sips in then I’d prefer to wear skirts or dresses.

2. Do you remember a time when you felt like “a million dollars” or anything over 50 cents?  Between 2004-2006, I looked like a million bucks.  My weight was in-line where it should be.  I was wearing a size 0 or 2.  I was very active.  I did have lots of moments where I didn’t feel well, though, due to my chronic stomach problems.  Since 2006, I’ve been battling with getting the excess weight off.  Last year, I learned some new things about how my body works and am now making slow progress to getting back to where I want to be.

3. Walking or running?  I’ve never been a runner.  I prefer to walk, especially in the mountains.  I really like the peaceful quiet walks on the rare occasions we can fit this into our schedules.

4. Have you ever had any “ah-ha” moment about health or eating habits? Now in English – have you ever felt like you made a discovery about health or eating habits.   Definitely.  It seems like every few months, I make a new discovery.  One of the best ones for me is adding flaxseed to my daily regimen.  Flaxseed is an excellent source of fiber and it’s one of the few grains which is low in carbs.

5. If someone could do something really nice for you, that would make you happy, what would it be?   Hmmm, I’m not really sure.  I believe just having my friends drop me a line or leave a comment often through my social networking connections (Facebook or my blog) would be an added bright spot to my days.  It’s simply nice just seeing a friendly message. What better way can a friend make me happy?  Okay, she could send me a bag of money.  That would make me pretty happy. LOL  However, if she’s like me then she needs to keep the money for her family and I’d have to say, “You keep it, your friendship means more to me than the money.”

Feel free to jump in on the ‘hump day’ blog hops with some of these memes….

Have a good day!

  1. @Hillary…I know what you mean. Some aren’t cut out to be runners. You and I can start a non-runners club. I like bicycling, too. =D

  4. I have always wanted to “love” to run, and was able to love it for about 5 days a few years ago. No matter how I try, I will never be a runner, but I do like to walk and bike ride

  5. Ladies join me today.

Joy…Maintaining proper weight is a difficult battle as we get older, I find. Thankfully, I’m in relatively good health where I can moderate myself through exercise and diet.

Michelle…I will try to bop in on you this weekend. Thanks for the heads up on your weekend meme. =D BTW, I love the name of your blog. So cute!

  6. hi Cathy! I have struggled with my weight as well. I have learned a lot too in the last couple of years about myself and my weight problem. It is definitely a healthy lifestyle that we have to live to get the weight off! Thanks for stopping by my place!
