Treehouse

Thanks for dropping by for day 22 of the A to Z Challenge.  Two days ago I felt doubtful I would finish up with this week on time but miraculously I managed to do it.  I credit my glorious turn around to a Higher Power guiding my hands swiftly toward completion.  I always wanted a treehouse as a kid.  What child didn’t, though.  Naturally, that found its way for my subject to illustrate five years ago and today, I’m sharing with your my Procreation recreation.

It’s time to head over to the A2Z headquarters and you’re welcome to come with me.  Thanks for including me in your day.  Wrapping things up with today’s song selection I found Conan Gray’s “Treehouse”.  The melody and sweet words felt like the perfect fit for my mood and illustration.  I hope you enjoy it, too.  I’ll pick up with the next alpha prompt on Monday.  Tomorrow, join me on the 4M dance floor for music that moves you and me with this week’s no theme freedom of music song picks.  This is CAAC signing off.  Happy A2Zing!

  1. I always wanted a treehouse when I was a child but my parents didn’t feel it was safe so they built me a playhouse. It was adorable. I love your sketches, Cathy. Only a few days left to go! 😘

  2. Keep at it! You can successfully make it to the end of A to Z. Only a few more days to go!

Love your tree house artwork. I also always wanted a treehouse, but unfortunately none of the houses we lived in had a tree on the property. But I dreamed of having a tree house one day.

Here’s a funky dance song called “Tree House” by the Christian group Adam Again:

    Have a good week end!

  3. Hi, Cathy!

Happy Saturday and T-Day, dear friend!

I am arriving to CAAC later than usual this morning because the weekend has turned into the busiest time in blogging, a new development in recent years, at least in my corner of the blogiverse. I found two new posts waiting for me when I awoke at 4:30 AM, and yours is the third.

Yessum there’s something special about a treehouse. I don’t remember ever being in one, but I wish I had that experience. I believe I told you how much I enjoyed climbing trees as a boy. I would find a secure branch high above the ground and sit there for an hour or more enjoying the warm breeze, gazing at the nearby fields of flowers and simply enjoying the peace and solitude of the moment. I remember your treehouse sketch, and it is glorious now that you brought it back for this series with the canopy, grass and hills adorned in green, my signature color. The treehouse and sturdy tree upon which it rests look realistic. I love the generous size of the house, the wrap-around porch, and the addition of a swing hanging from a branch. The hut looks very inviting. I can imagine kids having fun up there all day long reading comic books, singing songs, telling stories and snacking.

i also enjoyed listening to “Treehouse,” the acoustic uke song by Conan Gray that you picked for the occasion.

Thank you for the feel-good art scene and mewsic to begin the weekend. I hope all goes well with your water heater project and that you and DH will have a safe and happy weekend. As always, if you post a 4M Monday on Sunday, I will be here, and I look forward to welcoming you over to Shady’s Place to ride the Shady Train when you find the time. Thank you, dear friend Cathy!
