Transformation #art theme #TADWR

How are y’all doing today? I don’t know about you but I need a few hours longer in bed.  New Year’s Eve throws me for loop every time it falls during the work week.  Wouldn’t it be grand if it were on a weekend night every year?

Today’s theme is transformation.  On Tuesday, I hit on a few things regarding my goals for the new year but I think I what I need more than anything is to refresh my transformation in Christ meaning I need to spend more personal time with the Lord which inspired this morning’s illustration.

This article 17 Prayers to Keep God first in the New Year landed in my in-box at a perfect time working beautifully with my content theme and artwork.

Thanks for stopping in with your coffee for a peek at my masterpiece and …oh yeah for not spilling it on my artwork. 😉

With the new year, what transformations would you like to see in your life – spiritually, physically,  or emotionally?

It’s a super pleasure to share my sprinkle of talent with you this morning. 😘 If you like to see what others are bringing to the art play date, then I invite you to high tail it over to Rain’s Garden to browse through the gallery of artistry!

Have a blessed day and I hope you’ll join me tomorrow for my first edition of Friday Sillies in this new year.

X💋X💋, Cathy

  1. Spirituality is an ever changing (transforming)part of our lives and reaching out to renew and strengthen it is a wise and heartwarming commitment for the new year. If all would do the same our world wouldn’t face the terrifying problems it faces … but if it starts anew in each of us, there is hope. I will seek many transformations this year, both in my personal life and in a more worldly quest … thank you for reminding me how important it is to start with our spiritual commitment. Happy New Year, Cathy …

  2. “what I need more than anything is to refresh my transformation in Christ meaning I need to spend more personal time with the Lord…”

Amen to that! He is as close as the mention of His name.

  3. Nicely done, Cathy. Thanks for the e-cards you’ve sent! I need to get a better structure for my time so that’s what I’m going to be working on. Getting more in touch with God is a good thing too. I had gotten a specific bible for everyday reading. You’ve inspired me to get it and start!

    1. Janet,

If I inspired you then God opened my heart the right direction to not only for myself but you as well. He surely works in mysterious ways, doesn’t He? Thanks for the blessing of your visit, my friend!

  4. Hubby and I are very spiritual. Being kind is what I want to see myself to more of.

I love your artwork. You’re most talented.

Have a fabulous day, Cathy. Love and hugs. ♥

  5. Hi Cathy 🙂 Your piece today is so meaningful! I think it’s so important to continue to transform ourselves each day if we can, learning, observing, feeling. Spiritual growth is something I take very seriously. You and I don’t share our beliefs, but our hearts share the same passion towards our chosen spirituality. Lovely post today! 🙂

    1. Rain,

We’re all have different spiritual convictions, don’t we? And, you’re right, we do share the same passions of creating and what a joy it is to share with you!!Thank you for visiting, my dear! xx

  6. Beautiful art and music, and I wish you all the best to reach your goals of transforming your life in this year. May it be a healthy and blessed one for you! Hugs, Valerie

  7. Good resolution for you and expressively painted!
I want to give my thoughts the freedom to write about what touches my feelings and translate them into pictures. The adventure can begin for you and me in the new year 2020!
    greetings Elke

    1. Elke,

You do a beautiful job expressing yourself with words and images. I love how you entwine the two. Here’s to a fun new year, my dear!

  8. Hi, Cathy!

I am here to gaze upon your latest art offering, dear friend. Once again your torrent of talent is proudly on display. Mrs. Shady is an artist who specializes in portraiture. She told me years ago that hands are the most difficult body parts for her to render accurately. You did a fine job of depicting yours clasped together in prayer.over the Holy Bible.

The transformations I would like to see in my life this year have to do with time management and fitness. Now age 70, I am more aware than ever of the passing of time and how precious it is. I intend to use my time more wisely and that will mean scaling back the amount of time I spend reading posts and composing comments. (My fingers tend to be more “long winded” than most other people’s) Of course, best friends like you will continue to be my top priority, but don’t be surprised if my comments become less wordy. I need to establish sensible limits and stick to them. In the area of fitness, I intend to create new exercise routines to prevent boredom. We will soon be moving to our new house and I will need to carve out an exercise space there.

I will be here with bells on for your Friday Sillies, dear friend Cathy. Till then have a great day!

    1. Tom,

Mrs. S is right, hands are very hard to draw. I redid this scene over and over until I got it close enough. It’s not purrfect but for someone who’s not trained as in ‘schooling’, I try to cut myself some slack and grow with my mistakes.

Good for you on establishing new goals to trim back time spent in Blogosphere. That’s something I need to do, too. You compose beautiful, thoughtful comments which I always admired and try to learn from your example but as you pointed out, it does take time. We need to stay true to oneself and do what’s comfortable instead of allowing this or anything to enslave us. Now that the holidays are behind us, I want to resume my exercise routine which I put on the back burner. I didn’t intend to get off track as badly as I did but it happens and instead of beating myself up I’m ready to jump in again with both feet. I wish you the best of luck to getting a new routine figured out. I know the importance of not being bored with exercise. That’s one reason why I have a bunch of exercise videos. One day, when were in a bigger place I hope to do those again but as it is I’ll continue to use my elliptical. Have a good day and best of luck getting settled into your new place, my friend!
