What’s this, it’s a brand New Year so soon? I’m afraid it’s true. As 2010 was drawing to an end, I began to think of goals I would like to set. The usual ones — diet & exercise are always an ongoing routine but what NEW goals do I honestly want to strive for this year? That’s the real question, huh?
In the past, I have made an enormous list of resolutions. That grew tiresome and a bit pointless because I realized my goals have a way of changing or my goals just fizzled due to frustrations and lack of motivation.
This year I have a new approach. I will set goals on a weekly or monthly basis, checking and refocusing my attention as needed, instead of looking across the next 365 days.
This week I made two goals. The first is to complete rewrites of two work-in-progress children’s stories since Thanksgiving by mid-January. One story goes back to my agent and the other is part of a series to my first children’s book on the market now. My Second goal is to give my children’s book series a name.
2011 look out because I am ready to kick myself into gear on a totally new level!

You still haven’t figured out a name for the series? 😉 When you do come up with a name for the series you’ll let us all know, right?
Good luck with the revisions, Cathy. If you ask me, that’s the hardest part of writing.
