Thanks for joining me, kittens and dawgs today. Last week, I asked you to decide on who you liked the best covering Blondie’s Call Me between The Dandy Warhols and Skye. The count was close!
The Dandy Warhols did a superb job. I loved hearing male vocals take on this 80s classic. Courtney Taylor-Taylor, lead vocalist, sorta hush tone was nice and the synthpop vibes really rocked. Skye’s voice appealed to me unlike with some of you. Her quiet, airy voice is definitely a contrast to Debbie Harry and the alternative rock music arrangement while maintained the general direction of Blondie’s style it was more unique and I felt like she owned her version. My vote goes to the wispy sound of Skye. Giving her a two-point (7 to 5) advantage and taking the golden mic award!

I’m getting used to being on the losing side in these battles and yours is no exception. I enjoyed both versions but I am a little surprised that Skye collected more votes. Even so it was a nice close race. I enjoyed listening to Skye singing “Back To Now.”
