I am so happy to co-host the best virtual dance party in Blogosphere with my lovelies XmasDolly, JAmericanSpice, Stacy Uncorked, and this month’s honorary co-host.
This week’s Monday’s Music Moves Me edition, we’re partying to “freebie” picks. That’s right, whatever tunes are getting your groove on then we want to hear them right here!
My brain has been so wasted for months. First from being so sick and then from the recovery process (pain meds) that I let the first day of summer slipped in undetected. Geez! Every day is a step toward a healthier, newly improved me who’s so ready to get rocking again with life. While most of the reason I’m moving at a snail pace to get dancing this morning is due to my brain fog, the other thing that had me slow on the take is I went for my post-op appointment with my surgeon and GI doctor. I got a terrific report from both! Yee-haw!
Funny, this song popped in my head at the last moment and I had to put it up.
The previous song mentions “hot summer nights”. It was a scorcher today! Phew, I’m happy to be back home cooling down. You know whenever I think of summer, this song always pops in my head. I don’t know why. Actually, yes I know why because it reminds me of when I was a teenager. In the mid-70s this song played on the airwaves two or three summers back to back often or so it seemed. When I hear this tune, I always think of the of my summer vacation in ’76 that I spent with my uncle and his wife in Ohio. What flashbacks does this song draw for you?
Are you ready to get started? Admission to this awesome dance party is totally doable. Just grab XmasDolly…well not XmasDolly, but her button here and display it somewhere on your blog and put up your favorite YouTube video (you’ll find the weekly musical themes posted in her sidebar) for everyone to enjoy.
