The fall of summer

Howdy-hi, folks!  For those new to CAAC today’s DH’s off Friday and my time to spend it with him but I’m going to wrap up the work week with some funnies to get you in a good mood for the weekend!

Unfortunately, this is a reality for those of us in East Tennessee.

Why not share with me funny videos or memes or anything that’s made you smile.  Send it to me via email and if I use it in my Friday Funnies segment then I will credit you for the contribution.

Later today at 5pm EST watch for my newest music edition of Five for Friday.   That’s all for now, folks.  Have a funtastic Friday! X💋X💋, Cathy

  1. Great cartoons. I see you have one by Dave Granlund, he is from my little town of Ware, MA. 🙂
    Have a nice weekend. XO

  2. I love all the funnies. I never thought about selling the leaves. Brilliant.

Thank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.

Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. Love and hugs. ♥

    1. Eugenia,

Every time I see fall leaves swirling gracefully to the ground I think of snow falling so when I saw this cartoon I thought it would be fun for that reason but also it’s so true how you work really hard on raking the leaves into a pile to have the work undone by puff a wind or a kid/animal jumping to scatter them. 🙂

  3. Hi, Cathy!

I almost forgot to check early for your Friday Sillies, dear friend. Glad to see you rounded some up, sending us into the weekend with a smile.

Awww…. the notion that the falling leaves of autumn can be explained as trees crying because summer is over is touching. I don’t know why those pumpkins in the patch are eager to find homes for H-ween. Don’t they realize that their new owners will stab them with knives? I love that enterprising homeowner selling his fallen leaves by the bag or “rake your own.” I wonder if he found any takers. Maybe he should try selling them on eBay or Etsy. (LOL) The “leaf globe” variation of a snow globe is a funny one. The next cartoon is spot on – the one depicting how women, slaves to fashion trends as many are, dress in fall clothing as soon as the calendar dictates, even though the weather is still summerlike and they do lots of sweating.

Thanks for the giggles, dear friend Cathy. Have a safe and happy weekend!

    1. Tom,

Don’t worry about it. It’s hard for me to keep up with things on this end. I’m doing a bit more than what I can handle easily. I don’t know how much longer I can keep this going but I’ll run with it for as long as I can before exhaustion hits. I’m glad you came by for a dose of giggles. You’re a good friend!
