Today marks the 30th anniversary of John Hinckley’s failed assassination attempt on President Reagan. That event is forever frozen in my mind but little did we know the seriousness of his injuries. Here is some insight from Michael Reagan as he pays tribute to his dad on that day.
DH loved Ronald Reagan. He has shared some of the video footage detailing that day. Even after so many years, this strikes a deep emotional chord with me. Reagan was an incredible man and God had big plans for him. That’s why I believe Hinckley wasn’t successful.
The years that followed the attempt on Reagan’s life, he pulled this nation back onto her feet from a horrible economic downfall and brought hope to not only America but the rest of the world. We watched history televised before our eyes at the astonishing dismantling of the Berlin Wall, which crushed the evil Soviet Union empire. This would not have been possible had it not been for Reagan.
Ronald Reagan was a true man of courage and conviction for God and the American people. We miss you, Mr. President!

I agree. I wish we had him back right now. We could use him!
