TAKING A MOMENT TO MYSELF to rest my BONES until the BOOGIE OOGIE music moves me!

Good morning, kittens & dawgs! On my latest BoTB edition, I featured two R&B artists doing Stevie Wonder’s hit song, Superstition. To keep the momentum going with the polls only days away from closing, I wanted to share more tunes by these contenders.

First is the American R&B vocals of Macy Gray. 

The second Rhythm & Blues band hails from across the pond by way of Great Britain. I present…The Hoax!

  1. Oh but I love singing in the shower. I try not to dance though 😀
    And I do love the wave of Macy’s voice. Haven’t heard her in awhile.
    I would desire to choose her, unless I want to boogie oogie 🙂

  2. Oh no – I always sing in the shower!! now I am going to think about this every time. maybe I will shower in my bathing suit. groovy tunes!

I’ve never cared much for Macy Gray’s drugged-out performance style, but I have to go with her on this one…mostly because when I hear music with loud guitars, I just want to pull the earbuds out of my ears! It actually hurts my head…even when I was young and heavy metal was the hot thing, I just couldn’t take it. So Macy is the lesser of two evils!

    1. Madilyn, Awww sharing a shower! Conserving water or just for the fun of it, that’s nice. I remember those days. Somewhere along the way pregnancies, followed by children, and the joint showers stopped. Dancing in the shower is tricky, but another a partner in the mix is double trouble. lol BTW, did you vote in my BoTB yet? If not, don’t forget to do it soon. Click here to have your say so! 😉

  6. Macy Gray had her own style and it was really different.I personally think she should’ve made it a lot higher than she did. Never heard the Hoax before, but Boogie Oogie Oogie I LOVE! GREAT TUNE & always loved singing & dancing to it. Now I’ll have this tune in my head for at the very least a month.. It’s okay I had Blame on the Boogie for a couple of weeks lately, but you removed that one with this.. so that’s cool! hahahaha Thanks for the boogie Cathy and have a fantastic healthy happy week! Luv ya gal!!!!
