Take This Country Back Vote ‘Em Out

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  This week’s theme is songs about your country, government, national pride, …. !  Here in the US, we’re facing another presidential election which inspired my song collection. Some of my song picks may seem outdated but honestly the issues that inspired the lyrics still remain relevant.

Folks get upset during the election season.  I don’t like nasty politics but what I really hate is the destruction of our country. The enemy uses the weak minded, easily bought, and illegals in this great land to tear her apart within which is slowly bringing America to ruins on many levels.  Think of the TV series The Americans and you can see if for yourself.

We need a President who respects God. Better still one who serves the Almighty.  We need a President who protects Americans.  Secure our borders and stand against countries that threaten our way of life.

We need a President who places importance on the traditional family, not afraid to say killing babies is wrong, or that you are what you at birth.

Sadly, we’ve come to the point where voicing different views brings harsh criticism or worse.   I remember as a kid thinking how neat it was that we could say anything we wanted without being afraid compared to government controlled countries on the other side of the world. I never thought I’d live to see this sort of thing in our country, but I am.

Okay nuff said.

Remember music themes are only suggestions.  I don’t care one way or another.  The important thing is to share whatever music moves you. Now, it’s your turn!

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

Have a boogietastic week!

  1. Very nice songs. My only hope is that our leaders decide to stop arguing and have some sense and get some things done for this country.

Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

  2. CAThy, I educated myself to an extensive degree by immersing myself in well-researched nonfiction books for decades. When I first realized what is REALLY going on in this country and this world, I was very distraught – even panic-stricken – and I tried everything I could think of to awaken and warn others.

But then after awhile, The Holy Spirit reminded me of a couple of unassailable facts: 1) Luke 4:5-7. “This world” is temporarily ruled by satan; God has allowed him to influence a large segment of the population willing to follow satan and do his bidding. 2) The underappreciated importance of the words “it is written” in The Bible. The Bible is indeed The Word Of God, and when God inspired His prophets to put into writing what WILL BE in the future, it became a written contract between God and His creation (His children and the world).

Nothing and no one can alter what God has said will be. And the timing has been set by Him; we are incapable of speeding it up or slowing it down. It’s already a done deal, and me being in a panic, trying to warn people in an attempt to alter the course we were on was a waste of my time and unnecessary personal fear & agitation within me. The Holy Spirit taught me that the only thing I could do was attempt to steer more people toward God & Christ. Some people can be saved, but this country & this world cannot be saved from what God has had “written”. I can’t even describe how much greater peace I enjoyed as soon as this revelation was embraced by my mind. It’s ugly now, and it’s going to get even worse, but the time is short and The King, who doesn’t need any votes, will be returning before much longer.

    1. You’re absolutely right on what you’re saying. I know the world can’t be saved. People can be, though. The things in Revelation are coming to pass. It’s interesting as I re-read this post yesterday, before you commented I felt God’s assurance in a different way. My time on this earth is best used to steer others to Jesus for sure and everything else is secondary. Thanks for caring enough to share with me, my dear friend!

  3. Amen! It’s such a shame that politics have made us so toxically divided. I blame a lot on the media and access to outlandishness on the internet. I’ll be glad when this election day is behind us, but I hope there is not something worse to come.

  4. Elections are no longer Republicans vs. Democrats or Conservatives vs. Liberals. Increasingly, they’re Them vs. Us. I’m all for getting people in office who want this country run the way the Founders wanted it to be. Lots of luck to all of us… Good song choices!

  5. It’s true some of the songs are dated but others still seem relevant. There’s a lot of sad things going on in this political climate – Americans pitted against each other. We’ve always had differing opinions but it didn’t create feelings that those supporting the other party’s candidates were evil, not in the way that it does today. Plus, our enemies are trying to play with our elections like never before, and the attacks are increasingly sophisticated. Alana ramblinwitham
