Take This Country Back Vote ‘Em Out

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me on Sundays!  This week’s theme is songs about your country, government, national pride, …. !  Here in the US, we’re facing another presidential election which inspired my song collection. Some of my song picks may seem outdated but honestly the issues that inspired the lyrics still remain relevant.

Folks get upset during the election season.  I don’t like nasty politics but what I really hate is the destruction of our country. The enemy uses the weak minded, easily bought, and illegals in this great land to tear her apart within which is slowly bringing America to ruins on many levels.  Think of the TV series The Americans and you can see if for yourself.

We need a President who respects God. Better still one who serves the Almighty.  We need a President who protects Americans.  Secure our borders and stand against countries that threaten our way of life.

We need a President who places importance on the traditional family, not afraid to say killing babies is wrong, or that you are what you at birth.

Sadly, we’ve come to the point where voicing different views brings harsh criticism or worse.   I remember as a kid thinking how neat it was that we could say anything we wanted without being afraid compared to government controlled countries on the other side of the world. I never thought I’d live to see this sort of thing in our country, but I am.

Okay nuff said.

Remember music themes are only suggestions.  I don’t care one way or another.  The important thing is to share whatever music moves you. Now, it’s your turn!

This is a music link up.  Your post must contain at least one song or your URL is marked “No Music”.

Have a boogietastic week!

    1. I know all of my readers aren’t on the same political page but most if not all are respectful. That’s one of the problems we have today lack of respect for one another and often not having control of one’s words or actions. The evil one fuels chaos and disharmony, so when you see that kind of behavior then you know the source straight off. Thanks for the visit and the follow, Priscilla!

  1. Well, I am on the other leaf and this person is the opposite of your beliefs. He spouts what many want to have but he talks. I remember him from 40 years ago and what he said about women and people, not helping them. Anyhoo, I commend you speaking your mind and holding onto your beliefs and respect it. The music was good even if it’s not my cup o’ tea.

    1. Birgit,

I don’t have issues with anyone who differs from my beliefs. It’s anyone who tries to strip me of my rights while forcing theirs on me that I have a problem with. I’ve said and done things in the past, that’s wrong or come off as bad and while I’ve learned from my mistakes, I hope others can see the person I am now. No person ever was or is perfect, except one Jesus and none of us will ever measure up to Him. All we can do is try our best. 😘

  2. Very nice songs. My only hope is that our leaders decide to stop arguing and have some sense and get some things done for this country.

Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

    1. Politicians will never stop arguing. Half don’t care and the other half pretend to care. Politicians only care about money and power. Thanks for joining the party, Patrick. Have a blessed day, my friend!

  3. CAThy, I educated myself to an extensive degree by immersing myself in well-researched nonfiction books for decades. When I first realized what is REALLY going on in this country and this world, I was very distraught – even panic-stricken – and I tried everything I could think of to awaken and warn others.

But then after awhile, The Holy Spirit reminded me of a couple of unassailable facts: 1) Luke 4:5-7. “This world” is temporarily ruled by satan; God has allowed him to influence a large segment of the population willing to follow satan and do his bidding. 2) The underappreciated importance of the words “it is written” in The Bible. The Bible is indeed The Word Of God, and when God inspired His prophets to put into writing what WILL BE in the future, it became a written contract between God and His creation (His children and the world).

Nothing and no one can alter what God has said will be. And the timing has been set by Him; we are incapable of speeding it up or slowing it down. It’s already a done deal, and me being in a panic, trying to warn people in an attempt to alter the course we were on was a waste of my time and unnecessary personal fear & agitation within me. The Holy Spirit taught me that the only thing I could do was attempt to steer more people toward God & Christ. Some people can be saved, but this country & this world cannot be saved from what God has had “written”. I can’t even describe how much greater peace I enjoyed as soon as this revelation was embraced by my mind. It’s ugly now, and it’s going to get even worse, but the time is short and The King, who doesn’t need any votes, will be returning before much longer.

    1. You’re absolutely right on what you’re saying. I know the world can’t be saved. People can be, though. The things in Revelation are coming to pass. It’s interesting as I re-read this post yesterday, before you commented I felt God’s assurance in a different way. My time on this earth is best used to steer others to Jesus for sure and everything else is secondary. Thanks for caring enough to share with me, my dear friend!

    1. Thank you, dear Mimi! Praying for one another is what God wants us to do and keeping our country in prayer is especially needed. I pray for all people to submit their hearts to the Lord God Almighty. In the end, it won’t matter who’s President. The King of kings rules us all and His side is the one to be on! 🥰

  4. Amen! It’s such a shame that politics have made us so toxically divided. I blame a lot on the media and access to outlandishness on the internet. I’ll be glad when this election day is behind us, but I hope there is not something worse to come.

    1. As we know the MSM is a weapon to spread lies and promote their agenda to the masses. I understand, everyone is looking forward to the end of this day but hopefully things do not get worse. I’m holding onto a positive outcome but if things don’t go my way then I know God’s got this already. Thanks for visiting, Lee. Blessings to you, dear friend!

  5. Elections are no longer Republicans vs. Democrats or Conservatives vs. Liberals. Increasingly, they’re Them vs. Us. I’m all for getting people in office who want this country run the way the Founders wanted it to be. Lots of luck to all of us… Good song choices!

    1. Here! Here! You’re right. Whether things go or don’t go the way I hope, God will give me the peace and strength needed to deal with it all. Thanks for joining the party, John!

  6. It’s true some of the songs are dated but others still seem relevant. There’s a lot of sad things going on in this political climate – Americans pitted against each other. We’ve always had differing opinions but it didn’t create feelings that those supporting the other party’s candidates were evil, not in the way that it does today. Plus, our enemies are trying to play with our elections like never before, and the attacks are increasingly sophisticated. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. It is sad the way things are going but it’s been happening for sometime and is getting worse. That’s the design of evil to create disharmony and chaos. We can’t respect one another leaving each to his/her opinions anymore. Whatever happens, happens. My faith remains in God, not in any person, and He gives me peace when the world is crazy. The tactics used to ensure votes are gathered like you wrote about is alarming. In the back of my mind, I have little confidence in what happens to my vote or that 100 fake votes are generated to offset mine, you know?

    1. It’s good that we share the same ideas about things, my friend. Blessings to you and yours as well! 🥰
