Good-morning, kittens & dawgs! Last Monday, I asked y’all to vote in Heart of Glass cover #BoTB showdown between rival artists Old School Freight Train VS. Nouvelle Vague. In this battle, OSFT lived up too its name in more than one way. The dragging tempo being the worse offender and then the nail of death the 2-minute longer version nearly making it a shut out win for the opponent; most people commented that OSFT’s rendition was a bit depressing with the sluggish rhythm, too. Oddly enough, I liked Old School Freight Train and gave them my vote, but even with my tally Nouvelle Vague won by a landslide 12 to 5 victory.
Congratulations to Nouvelle Vague!
Now, listen to their full album entitled 3!
I invite you to visit Stephen the official BoTB list keeper to see how the other showdowns in this round went and don’t forget another round is coming your way on September 1st, so mark your calendar to get in on the fun. Meanwhile, my mewsic linkup isn’t doing so well, so I’m doing away with it and am hopping over to join the ?Monday’s Music Moves Me? crew. This week’s theme: songs that inspire. You’re invited to tag along. Have a tunetastic week!
Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston do a lovely duet of When You Believe, too.
What mewsic inspires you?
