If you’re scratching your head and thinking, “Hmm, this blog looks familiar.” There is a perfectly good reason this is, especially if you have been a regular visitor of Cathy Kennedy’s Blog.
For some time I have felt the need to change my web address to match a new blog name, so Curious as a Cathy was born inside the ramblings of my tiny mind while on stay-cation last month. This site is under construction, as you can clearly see. The good news is nearly all my content from my first blog transferred over in the migration. I kinda feel like I am getting a new start, but this time I know what I am doing…sorta…kinda…oh shoot, yeah I’ve got the blogging knack thingy down! *grin* And, am happy to be making this change.
Change? Who ever gets use to the DST change? I realize there isn’t much we can do about the curtain of darkness falling earlier each night till after the winter solstice, but to purposely set our clocks back an hour is ridiculous.
Speaking of night fall, I captured this interesting photo one afternoon while on stay-cation with my DH. We were fixing to go into a store when I spied this.
Thinking of day turning to-night made me think of the TV series I am currently watching on Netflix. I am not what you call a huge fan, but I am somewhat drawn to movies about creatures of the night. I have watched in its entirety the Buffy and Angel’s series. These shows made vampires or at least all of them except for one or two pretty much the bad guys. Vampires are dead people…without a soul…who feed on human blood…that turn into monsters…right?
The Vampire Diaries has these elements, too. However, the writers of the show have given their vampire characters the ability to switch their humanity on and off resembling a human with a soul…who can make mistakes…if their blood lust isn’t under control. Initially, I had a difficult time wrapping my brain around this whole story line. I know vampires, if they really existed, are truly wicked things. This concerns me a wee bit for those who can’t separate these basic truths. That being said, I can distinguish between good and evil. I do know that this show is totally fiction. There is no truth to it whatsoever, which allows me to enjoy the human-like quality in these vampires.
