Thank you for making the Sunday Edition of Monday’s Music Moves Me apart of your day! The theme this week is your choice. Whatever music moves you is sure to move the rest of this morning. Last week’s playlist produce a spin off to a new-to-me band I clicked on when I noticed they had a Happy Birthday song which appears on the MODERN MINDS AND PASTIMES playlist. Allow me to introduce to you the American band, The Click Five.
The Click Five (TCV) formed in 2004 and achieved moderate success in their early years selling more than two million albums world wide and created eight number 1 hits across several countries. However, throughout 2006 interest began to fade and they spent the following year trying to redefine themselves. It was in 2007 MODERN MINDS AND PASTIMES album released. It didn’t meet the bands’ expectations selling only 50,000 copies in the US and peaking 136 on Billboard 200 Chart. I rather enjoyed this album and I got curious to sample their debut album which is also on YouTube. Are you ready for more TCV?
The Click Five drew listener comparison to that of The Dave Clark 5 and The Beatles with their clean cut appearance and moptop hair cuts. I think it’s cool! The last studio album they recorded was in 2010 which was released in November of that year exclusively to Asian countries. The following year in May, the album released to the UK and US which failed to chart. The YT channel I borrowed the above two playlists didn’t have the groups final album but I did find another YT user’s upload of TCV
The band broke up in 2013. Kyle Patrick – lead vocals, rhythm guitar (2007-2013), Joe Guese – lead guitar & backing vocals (2004-2013), Ben Roman – synthesizers & backing vocals (2004-2013), Ethan Mentzer – bass & backing vocals (2004-2013), and Joey Zehr – drums (2004-2013) made the final line up of TCV. They parted company to focus on their own undertakings.
I hope you enjoyed the music. Now, it’s time for you to step onto the dance floor, just link up your post that contains a song or two, and hop over to any and all of the other party-goers to boogie with them.
In case you missed the announcement Marie, the brain child, felt the need to step down to tend to her health needs and has asked that I take over for her. You will always have a place when you’re ready to come back, my friend!
This is a music linky party. Your co-hostess are Stacy, Alana, and Me. Every other week we have a suggested music theme (see weekly prompts here) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our music enthusiasts. Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.
