Don Henley & The Eagles #RMF

This is the second annual Roctober Mewsic Festival hosted by Mary from Jingle Jangle Jungle and I’m happy to join along with her in the fun.

I always considered myself a soft rock to middle of the road rock gal but in the last 10 years, I realized that my rock n’ roll roots lean a little heavier and harder than I first thought.  This month, I’m revisiting some of the classic 70s bands that I loved as a preteen/teenager and you’re welcome to come along for the ride.

Today, I’m killing two birds with one stone so-to-speak no pun intended but it sure makes for great use of the phrase considering my playlist consists of songs pinned or co-authored by Don Henley (drummer…I knew there was a reason I liked this guy) while with the Eagles in the 70s.

Unfortunately the link no longer works but the playlist included these tracks:

  1. Witchy Woman (1972)
  2. Desperado (1973)
  3. Tequila Sunrise (1973)
  4. The Best of My Love (1974)
  5. Lyin’ Eyes (1975)
  6. Take It To The Limit (1975)
  7. One of These Nights (1975)
  8. Hotel California (1977)
  9. Heartache Tonight (1979)
  10. I Can’t Tell You Why (1979)

The Eagles broke up in 1980 but have gotten together for reunion tours.  The group produced some mega-hits as a collective body and many of the band members did well solo, like Henley or Eagle’s late founding member, Glen Fry (2016) whose mewsic I remember from the 80s.

It’s the weekend and weekends mean I’m MIA in Blogosphere but do join me a little later in the morning for Friday’s Fun Stuff edition.
