Good morning, kittens & dawgs! My good bud, XmasDolly, sent an email announcing I’m the newest Spotlight Dancer on Monday’s Music Moves Me (4M). Yay, me! ?
I know as a long time 4M dancer and former co-hostess that this means I get to pick the music theme for today’s party if I choose to accept the assignment a-hem spotlight position. XmasDolly & Company, I accept! Let’s dance to TV talent show (i.e American Idol, The Voice, America’s Got Talent,…) contenders performing other artist’s songs!
Across the Tennessee mountains in the small western North Carolina community of Sylva locals know the bluegrass group Mountain Faith Band (@MtnFaithBand) who appeared on America’s Got Talent (AGT) season 10. I wanted to feature this group on my site ever since, but it never worked out until now.
The first time I heard them performed, I immediately liked them. Kindly listen to One Republic’s Counting Stars cover by Mountain Faith Band.
Not bad for a bluegrass band, eh? Another popular tune that I liked that they did is Walk the Moon cover Shut Up and Dance.
The instruments are different. The vocals are a bit country but the sound still makes you wanna shut up and dance, right?
This next song is an original release. They did not do it on AGT (or at least I don’t think so), but I couldn’t help myself and knew I had to share it with you. It’s beautiful. Listen to Emily (It’s Love).
Did you like that little ditty? If you like it, then you can buy Emily (It’s Love) – Mountain Faith from iTunes.

Bluegrass isn’t my forte. However, over the years I’ve come to appreciate this type of music being raised on it and all. What I like is this group puts a unique spin on popular songs with their brand of music which grabbed my attention and millions of other TV viewers. What did you think of Mountain Faith Band?
Thanks for dancing with me. Now, let’s keep the party going! Link up your music post below and dance with all the 4M crew and friends below!
