Good-morning, kittens & dawgs! Last Sunday the talented American artist/songwriter popped up on my radar again and felt it my duty to spotlight him this morning on Saturday Songsuasion.
Gavin DeGraw
Today’s feature artist is a native New Yorker, born the same year (’77) DH graduated high school. Gavin rose to fame with his 2003 release I Don’t Want To Be appearing on his début album Chariot and became the theme song of the unfamiliar-to-me TV series One Tree Hill, aired on The WB network.
DeGraw separates himself from the norm pop rock vocals with a more blue-eyed soul flavor to his style. If you haven’t given him a listen before or if you are already familiar with him, then I invite you to click the play-all button below to hear 13 of his song selections from his Make A Move album.
Gavin’s TV appearances include the usual Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Late Show with David Letterman, my personal favorite DWTS, and most recently last Sunday, Gavin serenaded the final 5 in the 2015 Miss Universe contestants with his newest hit, Fire. I couldn’t tell who was the happiest, the contestants or Gavin. All I can say is this, a man couldn’t be happier than to be surrounded by so many pretty women in one place at the same time. lol
