It is October 31st. This day used to mark an evening of fun as a kid dressing up to go door to door in hopes of getting some good treats and I usually did. No rocks for this kid! I tossed out a theme for this week going with All Hallow’s Eve to build your song set using the History Channel for inspiration.
Halloween is about spooks and things that go bump in the night, right? Halloween is based on an ancient Celtic festival called Samhain. They would dance around a bonfire wearing costumes with the hope of keeping away ghosts.
In my Internet research Hunter’s Moon by Ghost popped up on YouTube. Vocally, I enjoyed the band more than I first thought. The video is a bit creepy but that’s sorta is what makes it appealing for the season at hand. I sampled several of their songs after which I discovered the playlist of their album, Impera, released in March of this year. Track 8 “Twenties” I didn’t like mostly because of a word I really dislike, mother*beep*. While Ghost isn’t my normal music genre. I found the album listenable and a nice change.
This is a music linky party. Your co-hostess are Stacy, Alana, and Me. Every other week we have a suggested music theme (see weekly prompts here) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our music enthusiasts. Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.
Unless volunteers sign up to co-host in the new year, I thought we’d try for-going this formality but let’s keep a theme going using y’alls suggestions. That being said, put your thinking cap on and send in your music prompts right away. I’ll be sure to credit every person who throws something this way on my 2023 4M Prompts page. Thanks for being apart of the party. Tomorrow, I’ll be back with another James Bond Theme Song BOTB showdown. This is CAAC signing off, have a boogietastic week! X💋X💋, Cathy
