Dining is what you make of it #art

Today’s theme is DINING.  I’m certain my interpretation isn’t what you might first think of but dining is what you make of it. You can dine in a low-lit romantic restaurant or seated by a cozy fireplace (fake ones work, too) in your home or a sweet picnic with your sweetie.

I love picnicking in the mountains but not necessarily on the ground like I sketched. That’s idealistic but reality is another thing. We’ve done it and it’s not nearly as pleasant as it is to dream about.

One of my favorite places to have a picnic is at WaterRock Knob on the Blue Ridge Parkway about 45-60 minutes north of Cherokee, North Carolina.  In 2016, I captured this beautiful sunset with a silhouette couple in the foreground enjoying the spectacular evening sky.

This month has gotten off to a rough start. It’s my fault since I got sidetrack working on my A to Z Challenge artwork and nearly didn’t get this piece finished in time. Hopefully, I can get back on schedule and if not, I’ll do what I can. I’m sure you understand. There’s no need to sweat it. When blogging or art becomes work then the passion gets spoiled and we don’t want that, do we? 😉

Thanks for stopping in with your coffee for a peek at my masterpiece and …oh yeah for not spilling it on my artwork. 😉

It’s a super pleasure to share my newest illustration with you this morning. 😘  Follow me to Rain’s Garden to browse through the gallery of artistry!

I’ll be back tomorrow with an edition of Friday Fun Stuff chockful of giggles, fill-ins, & more! Come join the fun!
