This week was fall premier for many new shows. We had the privilege of watching, The X Factor. Did you have a chance to watch it?
In many ways, it’s very much like American Idol expect the contestants perform in front of a live audience. This makes me wonder what will become of American Idol. Is there room on TV’s airway to support two programs so similar? I don’t know, but I guess we find out in the coming months.

In case you don’t know, the judges for X Factor are pictured above from left to right: Nicole Scherzinger, Steve Jones (host), Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and LA Reid. In the first two episodes, talent was scouted from these cities: Seattle, Newark, Miami, Chicago, and Dallas.
Each city audition disclosed some potential jewels to dazzle TV viewers. It’ll be interesting to see who’s left standing in the coming weeks. It’s unclear to me at this point, if Americans will get to vote to see who’ll win the ultimate $5M recording contract, but I’m sure we’ll learn more as it progresses.
For now, I’m going to say this show gets a big, “YES!” from me. We will make this part of our weekly routine each Wednesday and Thursday this season. There is something really special about watching a rise to fame drama unfold on national TV right before my eyes. I guess it brings out the daydreamer in me, if only we reach for it!
