Monday Morning Musings #2

This weekend, we reveled in the cooler temperatures. The taste of autumn to come filled my heart with joy and reminded me of things yet to be. My thoughts were adrift to Mother Nature’s cries of extreme atmospheric disturbances causing the wind to move the heavy clapper of our wind bell.

Introduced In 1989 to the beguiling sounds from the harbor buoy bell in Boothbay Harbor, Maine we bought a Boothbay Harbor wind bell that replicates the sound we heard in the harbor soon after returning home and to this day it hangs just outside my kitchen window from the house eve. I often wake in the middle of the night to the rich tones warning me of the stormy weather. The haunting melodic song allays my fears and lulls me back to sleep.

Currently, I’m in the midst of working out details with a prospect business with the hope to present to you an opportunity to enter a giveaway for a Maine made buoy bell. Keep your eyes open for the announcement to pop up soon!

1. the love of my life – my husband of 34 years!
2. the one thing I can’t get enough of – Blue Bell Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream.
3. memories of autumn crispness against my skin and longing for it to get here fast.
4. open fires while roasting marshmallows and relaxing in the evening air.
5. the scents of pumpkin spice & cinnamony apple in anything.
6. a deep, deep desire to visit Maine again…in the fall – so beautiful!
7. getting back to using my new DSLR camera that I haven’t had time to use this spring/summer.
8. taking a weekend to go to the mountains which I’m missing so much!
9. the idea of living in my dream house.
10. my favorite colors: pink & white. I’m totally a girlie girl!

1. September 15th was Chicken Lover’s day – what is your favorite way to prepare chicken? I will cut chicken breasts into strips, lightly dredge the strips in seasoned flour, and then I fry it in olive oil. Very tasty and better than KFC.

2. It is 99 days until Christmas… what are you planning to ask Santa for? At the moment, I cannot think of anything I would like to ask from Santa. Oh wait, yes there is one thing – a new house! Do you think he’ll bring it to me?

3. How long should company stay? I guess it depends on who the company is. Right now, we don’t have room to have anyone to stay with us. Hopefully this will change, if Santa delivers what I want on Christmas Day or before then will be fine by me.

4. What do you consider to be a long trip? Anything that stretches beyond 8-hours. Our longest trip I can think of was 20+ hours. We drove from Knoxville, TN to Bar Harbor, Maine. Keep in mind, once we crossed the Maine state line, we slowed our traveling down to do things in the southern part of the state before reaching our destination. Otherwise, if we had gone at it like the crazy people that we were, then we would have shaved our time by a couple of hours easily. Needless to say, we were pooped by the time we got to our hotel. But, it was tons of fun!

My question to you is What’s sort of topics would you like for me to blog about?

To complete my Monday morning ramblings, I want to skip over to Carissa’s for:
