Exercise, MLK Jr,Coconut Water, & Other Monday Musings

Exercise in the a.m…before cofee, before breakfast, before I’m totally awake. This is a new one for me!

Beginning today, I’ve committed myself to cycling for 7 miles at the start of my morning. I read, it’s best to exercise before breakfast. Your body has no choice, except to burn the stored fat for energy. After all, isn’t this what we all want? I’m eager to put my new routine to the test. Watch for progress reports to be posted!

Remembering…

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

Judging man by the color of his skin has been an age old issue long before Mr. King’s famous speech. The divisions of people and their culture dates back to Old Testament times.

Italian cruise ship sinks just off the rocky coast line of Giglio due to human error. That’s putting it mildly. The captain of the vessel screwed up royally!  This morning the six people are reported dead and there are still 16 unaccountable due to the captain’s “human error”.

Coconut water…reports are claiming this beverage improves circulation, slows aging, fights viruses, boost immunity, and reduces the risk of cancer, heart disease, and stroke. Oh yeah, it’s also fat-free, cholesterol-free, low in calories, and full of electrolytes. Sounds marvelous, doesn’t it? I’m embarking my science project for coconut water’s health benefits listed above, as well as its rehydrating properties once I do my research to see which brand of this product I would most like to try. Do you have any recommendations?

I received a post card in the mail last week for a sale, I’d like to share with you…What? A clearance sale 25% off rubber art-stamps up to 50% off clearance items! When? January 12th – January 22nd  Where? www.stampin.com Don’t miss out on some great bargains on rubber stamps and supplies!

At the moment, I’m reading…
