Why Can’t We Be Friends? #RMF

This is the second annual Roctober Mewsic Festival hosted by Mary from Jingle Jangle Jungle and I’m happy to join along with her in the fun.

This month, I’m revisiting some of the classic 70s mewsicians and songs that either I didn’t catch the artist/band name or just forgot that I loved in my teen year. I hope you’ll stick around to enjoy some lost gems from the past.

How is it I get things turned around in my memories but I do?  Every time I think of War, I think of the song but for some reason, I thought the band War did the song.  That isn’t so, though. Edwin Starr did that song. Anywho, while looking for War hit songs from the 70s I was reminded of the 1975 #6 Billboard Hot 100 hit, ‘Why Can’t We Be Friends’ and a few others. Hit play to enjoy the funky vibe of War!

War 70s songs playlist includes: Why Can’t We Be Friends, Low Rider, The Cisco Kid, Slippin’ Into Darkness, & Summer.

That concludes today’s time machine escape but I’ll leave you with a view from Price Lake on the Blue Ridge Parkway just south of Boone, North Carolina for Wild Wednesdays and ask that you join me tomorrow for another edition of the Rocktober Mewsic Festival!
