At the end of last week, I finally heard from our girl, Marie. She’s on the mend. Her desire is to be back with us today, but we’ll see what happens. I’m not sure what she has but she reported being terribly groggy, coughing her head off and sleeping mainly. To the untrained person the cold and flu sound a like so I’m not sure what she has bu I know she feel terrible. Keep those prayers going!
Incidentally, did you catch the morning news in your inbox? Earlier this morning, Round 4 of BoTB went live! I can use your help in this battle so please take a moment to cast your vote.
This week Robin wants us to build a playlist of song about leadership in honor of President’s Day. The first thing I think of when I think of leadership is God. I first look to the Master for direction. That leadership trickles down to the family, first the husband, next the wife, and finally the children. But each role should look for heavenly guidance every step of the way. Hit play to enjoy my short song set.
Leadership song tracks:
Eighteen Wheeler ~Alabama This song speaks to me of a husband/father’s dedication to provide a good living for his family. I remember such goodbyes and worries by the phone. As a Christian wife, I recognized that God placed man at the head of the family to be leaders (an influencer) and providers and am thankful for DH is just that to this family.
Tough ~Craig Morgan The lyrics tell the story from a husband’s perspective of the many many leadership roles his wife takes on every day.
Go the Distance ~Michael Bolton A real leader truly goes the distance. That’s the job of a mother and a father to keep pushing forward to love, care, and provide for their family. This verse says it all in my opinion.
And I won’t look back, I can go the distance
And I’ll stay on track, no, I won’t accept defeat
It’s an uphill slope, but I won’t lose hope
Till I go the distance, and my journey is complete
We normally think of a leader in terms of adults but Yes, I Am A Leader, reminds me that our children are tomorrow’s leaders. I pray future generation leaders Look to Jesus for all things instead of looking to only themselves or bending to what others tell them. A real leader makes the difficult choice to do what’s right instead of what’s popular.

This is a mewsic linky party. Every other week we have a suggested mewsic theme (see side menu) to build your song set around and all participants share YouTube or Vimeo videos for our mewsic enthusiasts. Failure to meet this basic guideline puts your URL in danger of being removed or labeled – NO MUSIC.
I’m taking a lackadaisical approach to posting daily for the most part because I’m beginning to feel burned out again, so I’ve given myself permission to just go with the flow. Right now Mondays are the only day I’m committing to and the rest of the week I’m just going with the flow, if it happens, it happens and if not, just know everything is alright. We’ll see what tomorrow brings. 😉 Have a boogietastic week! X💋X💋, Cathy
