Country Roads #BoTB RESULTS

Hello Kittens & Dawgs! Thanks for stopping by to see if your BoTB pick got named the winner. Last week, I presented a Hawaiian and reggae version of Country Roads and asked y’all to vote for your favorite version. These different versions were hard for some and I admit when I first heard them I wasn’t sure but after listening to them a few times they grew on me and since have come to like both.  I knew from the start that I preferred IZ cover the best and my opinion hasn’t changed. My vote goes to Israel. This is one of the closest battles to date. Here’s how the votes stacked…

Israel Kamakawiwo’ole – Stephen, Michele, Tom, Amanda, John, Mike, Mimi, & ME (8)
Toots & the Maytals – Lee, Mary, Cherdo, Eugenia, Ellen, Sandee, & Cathy (7)

The winner by just a narrow margin of one is none other than the late IZ!

I’ll leave you with a popular YouTube playlist featuring 20 songs by IZ. Enjoy the mewsic!

You’ll find more awesome battles underway at some of these blog listed below (not everyone is doing the bi-monthly showdowns now) and if you’d like to be included in the fun, then contact Stephen requesting to be added to the list.

Tuesday night, my 95-year old father-in-law passed.  Death is never easy even when you know it’s coming to claim someone you love. We find comfort knowing that he’s now in heaven with his loved ones who passed before including his wife.  I bet it was a wonderful homecoming for him!  Please keep us in your prayers.  I’m not sure what lies ahead in Blogosphere for the next week or two but I’ll pop in when I can and I asked that you patiently excuse my absence. I promise I will do visit soon.  Monday’s Mewsic Moves Me (see side menu for weekly theme) is always opened and I scheduled April 1st BoTB for Saturday, March 31st, so mark your calendar to join me. Have a good week and God bless!Save
