Good Monday morning or afternoon! Who knows when this post will actually go live. I’m just that unorganized for the most part.
How was your weekend?
Ours was very nice. We kicked the weekend off on Thursday night because this past Friday was DH’s off Friday. It’s just the way his employer does things. He works his 40-hours in a way where he gets every other Friday off, which I love! Anywho, we watched Ironman 3.
I will be the first to admit, I had a hint of reservation about this third installment of Marvel’s action hero flick. It is so difficult to produce a trilogy of any kind where all three productions are outstanding. Although we like 1 & 2 the best, #3 is definitely worth seeing. One of the coolest innovations that Tony Stark engineers with Ironman suit is the ability to have the suit come to him with a flick of the wrist. I won’t tell you how he does this. 😉 If you’re in doubt whether to watch it then, let me say this if you’re a fan of the first two movies you will like the third one, like us!
Friday, we decide to give the car a good old fashion hand washing. It was last fall since we have given the ole gal a good scrubbing and she was really in need of it with all the pollen and sap dotting her surface. We washed and washed and washed. Putting that kind of elbow grease into my efforts left me completely drained and doubtful that I would be fit to do much more on Saturday, as that’s when we were going to give her a wax job. That plan fell through when DH went outside Saturday morning to find more sap on the car. sigh
Hopefully, after today the problem with sap falling on our car will be a thing of the past. The city will have their tree removal people on our street today. Supposedly, they plan to clear the trees from our front property. After it’s all done, if removing the trees fix the problem, then we will give our car another wash and then polish. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that this will be the cure for our car washing blues.
Supercharged DS reported he has a new job. Whoo-hoo! His first day was last Wednesday. This position is full-time. The company he is with does something like home improvement. DS is a super smart fellow. He can do anything he wants if he sets his mind to it. Maybe, one day he will want to go back to college but for now, I think this is a very good job for him. He is sure to learn much. All we want for him is to be completely happy doing whatever gives him total satisfaction.

10 CELEBRITIES I WOULD CHOOSE TO BE STUCK ON A DESERTED ISLAND WITH
- Knoxville resident and 2001 winner Survivor winner, Tina Wesson. I don’t think I would last more than a week on a deserted island alone and untrained.
- Ty Pennington would be an excellent addition to my deserted island cast of friends. If anyone can making a home out of nothing, then it’s gotta be the dude from Extreme Home Makeover.
- What to do about food on a deserted island? I am no fan of snails or creepy crawly things, but with Chef Ramsay marooned with me then I think I will survive with his culinary skills at work.
- Do politicians count? If so, then I would choose any and all liberal politicians. I figured, if for some reason I happened upon a deserted island where cannibals live, then I need a definite plan of survival. I will tell these people eaters that in the western culture politicians, especially liberal politicians, are the best people to eat since they live off the fat of others.
- Lassie, not only will she be a great comfort by my side, but she always manages to find a way of bringing help to the helpless.
- Besides man’s best friend, I will need my daily dose of humor. Lucille Ball would be a riot on a deserted island, but since she’s no longer of this world I think I would have to ask Lily Tomlin to join me. Laughter makes everything better, don’t you agree?
- Dr. Travis Stork from The Doctors. You know, a medical crisis is waiting to happen when on a deserted island, so I would do well for myself to have a doctor in my circle.
- While my next choice may not fall into the “celebrity” status, I definitely would welcome any one of the NEB (New England Boatworks) Team members to be stuck on a deserted island with me.
- Wild-man, Ted Nugent, naturally would be on my list for his bow hunting ability for obvious reasons.
- And the not-so-obvious choice Eva Longoria who is more than a beautiful face. She can skin deer and butcher hogs!
Each week, Heather puts on loan FOUR QUESTIONS for anyone to borrow and answer for your blog post, and then she gives you the option to add a fifth question of your own for those who are visiting your blog to answer in the comment section, along with commenting on the four questions you answered. 1. It’s Customer Service week – do you think customer service is getting better or worse now than it was five years ago? I absolutely hate dealing with most Customer Service Reps outside the US. These people are nice enough, but the language barrier is frustrating. That in itself makes Customer Service bad. The bad thing is, I would have to say over past 5-years there has been an increase in US companies that have moved their customer relations departments outside the country, which stinks in my opinion.
3. What reality show would you like to be a part of? DWTS or Celebrity Apprentice, but since I not an actress then I guess I’ll never be included.
4. Are you planning to watch the Baseball post-season? Who will win the World Series? I am not much of a baseball fan, so I won’t watch the World Series.
My question for today…have you entered my North Country Wind Bells giveaway? If not, tell me what’s stopping you.
To complete my Monday morning ramblings, I want to skip over to Carissa Graham’s formerly known as lowercase letters for Miscellany Monday.
Last Tuesday while at DH’s dental appointment, I capture this photo with my iPhone 4. I liked how I could see the moon against the rich blue morning sky. Do you see the moon?
