I’m following Rain’s prompt, “clocks” for this week’s art date. I haven’t done much sketching over the past few weeks. Other things had my attention and then with last week’s brush of Arctic air, not really “Arctic” temperatures but for this southern girl it may as well been. Our coldest day time high was 21º and our coldest nightly low was 3º. Plus, we had nearly a foot of snow, shutting folks in their homes in neighborhoods around town. It was just craziness! Anyway to get back on topic, I thought I’d resurrect art and photos from my archives that work.
I didn’t find too much in the way of art other than the above drawing and the next one below which I didn’t have time to rework. My lil’ chef is leaning backwards but I’ve learned a lot in the past three years since I drew it. There is a cat clock on the wall, though. My mom had one of these in the kitchen when I was a kid. I thought it was the craziest thing and hated it but now it brings back fun memories.
From here on, I’ll share photos I’ve taken of clocks and to my surprise I had more than I thought.
I’ll end things by saying I’m thankful the dental pain I had last week is not nearly as intense. I’m thankful the snow is melting away. It’s been a slow process with the cold temps but we’re getting there. I’m thankful for visits from the little rabbit in the snow who triggers our outdoor cameras. And, as always, I’m thankful for life’s simple pleasures home, health, and happiness.
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
