Howdy-hi, folks! The end of July is here. We’re more than a month into summer. The hottest part of the season has moved into east Tennessee. I’m really not looking forward to the mid to upper 90s but I know when cold weather returns I might think differently. I am not one for extreme temperature changes.
I’m going to dig into my archived art sketches for my first contributions for Rain’s July prompts. Most of y’all will recognize them. The last two art date prompts are new illustrations and then I’m going to end things with a new art creation and a couple of recreated sketches for DH.
I played around with my ‘Yellow Brick Road’ Procreate design running it through Brushstrokes. The app works nice with some of my digital sketches and I may present those another time but as it is this post has grown quite lengthy. It’s a good thing it involves mostly looking at artwork.
As mentioned earlier, I will leave you with my final three art illustrations I used for special occasions last month and this.
I really wanted to join Kat’s Writing Workshop this week. Her 5th prompt would be ideal but I’m gonna have to save it for another time. Get inspired and unleash your creative writing with Kat each week. I hope to get back into the game in September.
This week’s Thankful Thursday. I’m thankful I finally did something about the tingling and numbing sensation in my right leg. I thought it was a pulled muscle in my lower back. The doctor ordered physical therapy and a short run of muscle relaxers and a steroids. The meds did little to nothing and as far as the PT goes I don’t think it’s helping. The doctor ordered an MRI but I haven’t had it yet. He did give prescribe an anti-inflammatory drug that seems to help some but it has so many side-effects associated with it that I will only use it when I have to. I’ll keep you updated and I hope you’ll say a prayer for me.
A couple of weeks ago while taking a drive, we had the radio tuned to 60s on 6 when today’s Throwback Thursday song came on. DH began singing… actually he was speaking the lyrics like William Shatner might do, if you don’t know what I’m talking about, click here. I got tickled by DH’s silliness but the lyrics had me smiling super big. You just won’t hear anything produced today like this for a number of reasons but I think it’s just great stuff. Listen to the Blue-eyed soul group, O’Kayisons with their 1968 Billboard Hot 100 (#5) single, “Girl Watcher”.
I’m heading over to Rain’s Garden to browse the gallery of artistry. Have a doodletastic day!
